This rechargeable non-contact voltage detector pen features a super large color LCD, allowing for clear readings and various testing functions. It is designed for ease of use, enabling one-handed operation for efficient and safe electrical work.

Setup

Charging the Device

Before first use, or when the battery indicator shows low power, charge the BSIDE S4X tester using the provided charging cable.

1. Locate the charging port on the device.
2. Connect the charging cable to the tester and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change or turn off. Disconnect the cable.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To power on the device, press the power button. The device will automatically shut off after 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery.

Contacted AC Voltage Test

This function allows for a direct measurement of AC voltage. It is suitable for testing terminals, sockets, or supply lines.

1. Ensure the device is powered on.
2. Press and hold the black button (contact test button).
3. Touch the sharp probe of the tester to the metal part of the circuit or terminal you wish to test.
4. The AC voltage value (12V-300V) will be displayed on the LCD screen. Note that these values are approximate.

Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection (V-Alert)

Breakpoint Location

1. Move the tester along the length of the live conductor.
2. The device will indicate the presence of voltage up to the point of interruption.
3. The signal will cease or significantly weaken past the breakpoint, helping you pinpoint the fault.

LED Flashlight Function

• Press the flashlight button to turn the LED light on or off.

Environment Temperature Tester

The device can also function as an ambient temperature sensor.

• The LCD screen can display the ambient temperature.

Maintenance
