4. Setup and Installation

Important Note for Audio Output Settings:

This converter supports uncompressed 2-channel PCM digital audio signal output. If you experience no sound, please ensure that the audio output setting on your source device (e.g., TV, computer, game console) is set to PCM or LPCM. It is not compatible with 5.1 channel signal formats such as Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1, or Dolby-AC3.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Sound Output:
  • Ensure all cables are securely connected.
  • Verify that the converter is receiving power via the USB cable.
  • Check the audio output settings on your source device (TV, computer, etc.) and set it to PCM or LPCM. This converter does not support Dolby Digital, DTS, or other 5.1 channel formats.
  • Confirm that your audio receiving device (soundbar, home theater) is set to the correct optical input.
• Distorted Audio:
  • Ensure the 3.5mm cable is fully inserted into both the source device and the converter.
  • Check the volume levels on both the source device and the receiving audio system.
• Intermittent Audio:
  • Inspect the optical cable for any damage or kinks.
  • Ensure the power supply is stable.
