ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
No display on monitor
  • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to both the KVM switch and the PCs/monitor.
  • Verify the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
  • Try switching to the other PC input to confirm the KVM switch is functioning.
  • Check if the resolution and refresh rate of your PCs are supported by the KVM switch (max 4K@30Hz).
  • If using an optional power adapter, ensure it is connected and providing power.
Keyboard/Mouse not responding
  • Ensure the USB cables from the KVM switch to the PCs are securely connected.
  • Try connecting the keyboard/mouse directly to the PC to confirm they are working.
  • Some advanced keyboard/mouse features (e.g., custom macros, extra buttons) may not be fully supported through KVM hotkeys. Try using standard USB ports on the KVM switch if available.
  • Check PC power management settings for USB ports (e.g., disable USB selective suspend).
USB peripherals (front port) not working
  • Ensure the peripheral is properly connected to the front USB 2.0 port.
  • Verify the KVM switch has sufficient power. An optional 9V/DC power adapter may be needed for high-power USB devices.
  • Confirm the peripheral is compatible with USB 2.0.
No audio or distorted audio
  • Check all 3.5mm audio cables are securely connected to the KVM switch and your audio devices/PCs.
  • Ensure the correct audio output/input device is selected in your PC's sound settings.
  • Verify volume levels on both your PC and audio devices.
KVM switch not responding or freezing
