Setup Guide

Battery Installation

The Amplim Ampmed Thermometer requires 2 AAA batteries. These are included in your package.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer.
  2. Slide open the battery cover.
  3. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - ends match the markings inside the compartment).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

Operating Instructions

Taking Body Temperature (Forehead Mode)

  1. Ensure the thermometer is in Body Mode (person icon displayed).
  2. Hold the thermometer about 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) away from the center of the forehead. Ensure no hair or sweat obstructs the area.
  3. Press the "Scan/Opt" button.
  4. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD screen within one second, accompanied by an audible beep.
  5. Observe the screen color: Green for normal, Yellow for elevated, Red for high temperature.

Taking Object/Liquid Temperature (Object Mode)

  1. Ensure the thermometer is in Object Mode (object icon displayed).
  2. Point the thermometer at the object or liquid you wish to measure.
  3. Press the "Scan/Opt" button.
  4. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD screen.

Taking Room Temperature (Room Mode)

  1. Ensure the thermometer is in Room Mode (house icon displayed).
  2. Point the thermometer towards an open area in the room.
  3. Press the "Scan/Opt" button.
  4. The ambient room temperature will be displayed.

Switching Between Celsius and Fahrenheit

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press the "MEM/ENTR PWR/SET" button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed.

Viewing Memory Readings

The thermometer stores up to 32 previous temperature readings. To access these, press the "MEM/ENTR PWR/SET" button when the device is on. Each press will cycle through the stored readings.
