Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation and use of your HAPYTHDA In-Wall Cable Management Kit. This kit is designed to conceal TV power cords and low-voltage cables (such as HDMI, Ethernet, and A/V cables) behind the wall, providing a clean and organized appearance for wall-mounted televisions in various environments.
Safety Information
WARNING: Always turn off the power at the circuit breaker before connecting or disconnecting any electrical cables. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, injury, or death. If you are unsure about any electrical wiring procedures, consult a qualified electrician.
- Ensure the installation area is free of existing electrical wires, plumbing, or other obstructions before cutting into the wall.
- Verify that the wall depth is sufficient for the recessed outlet installation.
- Use appropriate safety gear, including eye protection and gloves, during installation.
- This kit is intended for low-voltage cables and standard 15 amp/125 volt duplex receptacles. Do not exceed the specified electrical ratings.

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. A cutting template is provided in the manual for precise hole creation.

1. Preparation
- Locate Installation Area: Use a stud finder to ensure the chosen installation spot is between wall studs and free of any electrical wires or pipes.
- Trace Outline: Use the provided cutting template, a level, and a pen to accurately trace the outline for the hole on your wall.
- Cut Hole: Carefully cut out the traced hole using a drywall saw. Ensure the edges are clean.
2. Installation
- Route Cables: Pull the power cable (from your main electrical source) and any low-voltage cables (HDMI, Ethernet, etc.) through the newly cut hole in the wall.
- Wire Electrical Box: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Connect the power cable to the 15 amp/125 volt duplex receptacle according to standard electrical wiring practices (typically black to brass screw, white to silver screw, bare copper to green screw).
- Secure Receptacle: Insert the wired receptacle into the electrical box. The electrical box features adjustable wings that can be tightened with screws to secure the receptacle firmly within the box and against the wall.
- Insert Electrical Box: Run the low-voltage cables through the brush opening on the brush wall plate. Insert the assembled electrical box and brush wall plate into the wall opening.
- Fasten to Wall: Use the provided screws to secure the entire unit to the wall. The fasteners on the electrical box expand to grip the drywall. Ensure the unit is flush and stable.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
Operating Instructions
Once installed, the HAPYTHDA In-Wall Cable Management Kit provides a seamless solution for your TV and media devices.

- Power Devices: Plug your TV and other media devices into the recessed duplex outlet.
- Manage Low-Voltage Cables: Feed HDMI, Ethernet, and other A/V cables through the brush wall plate opening. These cables will run behind the wall to their respective destinations, such as a receiver or gaming console.
- Recessed Design: The recessed design allows for bulky plugs and cables to sit flush with the wall, enabling your TV or furniture to be placed closer to the wall.

Maintenance
The HAPYTHDA In-Wall Cable Management Kit requires minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the visible surface of the wall plate with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Occasionally inspect the brush opening for any debris that might obstruct cables. Ensure all plugs are securely seated in the outlet.
- Electrical Safety: If you notice any signs of electrical issues (e.g., flickering power, burning smell), immediately turn off power at the circuit breaker and consult a qualified electrician.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Outlet receptacle feels loose in the electrical box. | Ensure the screws on the electrical box's adjustable wings are tightened. These wings expand to secure the receptacle. |
| Electrical box does not fit into the wall opening or hits an obstruction. | Verify the wall depth is sufficient (approx. 3.74 inches). If the wall is thicker (e.g., plywood), the box's fasteners may need adjustment or alternative securing methods (e.g., screwing directly to plywood if tabs are removed). Re-check for hidden obstructions like pipes or wires. |
| No power from the outlet after installation. | Check the circuit breaker to ensure power is restored. Verify all electrical connections are secure and correctly wired (black to brass, white to silver, ground to green). If unsure, consult a qualified electrician. |
| Low-voltage cables are difficult to feed through the brush plate. | Ensure cables are straight and not tangled. Feed one cable at a time if necessary. The brush opening is designed to accommodate multiple cables. |
| Local electrical code requires wire clamps for the electrical box. | The provided electrical box may not include integrated wire clamps. If required by local code, a hole can be drilled in the box to install a suitable box connector/clamp (not included). |
