Setup
Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your kettle:
- Unpack the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers.
- Place the power base on a stable, flat, and dry surface near a power outlet.
- Press the lid release button to open the lid.
- Fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX fill line (1.7 Liters). Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
- Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- For initial cleaning, boil a full kettle of water and discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Ensure the kettle is filled with water and placed on the power base, and the power cord is plugged in.
- The digital display will illuminate, showing the current water temperature.
- Press the power button (⑂) to start the boiling process. The kettle will automatically heat water to 100°C.
- The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches boiling point.
- Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water.
Temperature Settings
The Zilan Kettle allows you to select specific temperatures for different beverages:
- Press the temperature selection buttons (e.g., 40, 60, 80, 100) on the control panel to choose your desired temperature.
- The kettle offers preset temperatures: 40°C, 45°C, 50°C, 55°C, 60°C, 65°C, 70°C, 75°C, 80°C, 85°C, 90°C, 95°C, and 100°C.
- The digital display will show the target temperature, and the kettle will begin heating.
Keep Warm Function
To maintain water at a specific temperature:
- After selecting a desired temperature, press the Keep Warm button (♨).
- The kettle will heat the water to the selected temperature and then maintain it for a set period (refer to specifications for exact duration, typically 30-60 minutes).
- To deactivate the Keep Warm function, press the button again or remove the kettle from the base.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- Ensure no water enters the control panel or power base.
Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descale your kettle regularly to maintain efficiency.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy scale.
- Empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- If necessary, repeat the process until all limescale is removed.
