1. Product Overview

The CHACON 2X Wireless Outdoor WiFi Camera system provides discreet and effective monitoring of your home directly from your smartphone. Designed for outdoor use, these cameras are powered by integrated batteries and continuously charged by the included solar panels, ensuring long-term operation without frequent manual recharging.

2. What's in the Box

Upon opening the package, you should find the following components:

• 2 x Solar Panels

Note: An SD card for local storage is not included and must be purchased separately if desired.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera batteries using the provided USB-C cable and a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). Connect the USB-C cable to the camera's charging port and the other end to the power adapter. The charging indicator light will typically change color when fully charged.

3.2 App Installation and Pairing

1. Download the official CHACON application from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually selecting the camera model.
4. Connect the camera to your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.

3.3 Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel

Select an optimal location for your camera that provides the desired viewing angle and receives ample direct sunlight for the solar panel. The magnetic wall mount allows for flexible positioning.

1. Securely attach the magnetic wall mount to a sturdy surface using screws (not included) or appropriate adhesive.
2. Attach the camera to the magnetic mount. Adjust the camera angle for optimal coverage.
3. Mount the solar panel in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day.
4. Connect the solar panel's USB-C cable to the camera's charging port. Ensure the connection is secure and weatherproof.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and Recording

Open the CHACON app on your smartphone. Select the desired camera from your device list to access its live video feed. From the live view, you can manually initiate video recording or capture still images.

4.2 Two-Way Audio

While in live view, tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's built-in speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings. Ensure your phone's volume is adjusted appropriately.

4.3 Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white video up to 10 meters. No manual intervention is required for this feature.

4.4 Motion Detection and Alerts

Configure motion detection settings within the app. You can adjust sensitivity levels and set up push notifications to receive alerts on your smartphone when motion is detected. Recorded motion events can be reviewed in the app's playback section.

4.5 Smart Home Integration

To integrate with Google Home or Amazon Alexa, follow the instructions provided in the respective smart home app. Search for the CHACON skill/service and link your CHACON account. This allows for voice commands to view camera feeds on compatible smart displays.

5. Maintenance

• Solar Panel Cleaning: Periodically clean the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may reduce charging efficiency.
• Camera Lens Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens with a microfiber cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
• Battery Health: While the solar panel maintains the battery, extreme temperatures can affect battery life. If the camera is not receiving enough sunlight, occasional manual charging via USB-C may be necessary.
• Firmware Updates: Check the CHACON app regularly for available firmware updates. Keeping the camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.

6. Troubleshooting

• Camera Not Powering On:
  Solution: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the camera to the USB-C charger for at least 30 minutes. Verify the solar panel is connected and receiving direct sunlight.
• Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
  Solution: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Restart your Wi-Fi router and the camera. Re-attempt the pairing process in the app.
• Poor Video Quality:
  Solution: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength; a weak signal can affect streaming quality.
• Motion Detection Not Working:
  Solution: Check motion detection settings in the app (sensitivity, detection zones). Ensure notifications are enabled on your smartphone.
• Two-Way Audio Issues:
  Solution: Check microphone and speaker permissions for the app on your phone. Ensure your phone's volume is up.
