5. Installation
5.1. Mounting Location
Choose a central location in your RV, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources (like appliances or vents), which could affect temperature readings. The thermostat should be mounted on an interior wall at eye level.
5.2. Wiring Instructions
- Disconnect Power: Turn off all power to your RV's heating and cooling systems at the circuit breaker or fuse panel before beginning installation.
- Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove your existing thermostat from the wall. Note the color and terminal connections of each wire. It is recommended to take a picture for reference.
- Identify Wires: Refer to the wiring diagram below and identify the corresponding wires from your RV. The Briidea thermostat uses color-coded wires for straightforward connection.
- Connect Wires: Using the provided wire nuts, connect the wires from your RV to the corresponding wires on the Briidea thermostat. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Mount Thermostat: Secure the thermostat to the wall using the provided mounting screws and wall anchors.
- Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and the thermostat is mounted, restore power to your RV's heating and cooling systems.

Figure 5.1: Wiring Diagram
This diagram illustrates the wiring connections for the Briidea RV Thermostat. It details connections for the upper A/C unit (Y, GH, GL, B(-)) and optional furnace wiring (W(+), (-)) to a 12 VDC power supply, with a suggested 1A fuse for protection.
Wire Color Code Reference:
- Yellow (Y): Upper A/C Unit
- Green (GH): Upper A/C Unit
- Gray (GL): Upper A/C Unit
- Blue (B(-)): Upper A/C Unit
- White (W(+)): Furnace
- Red (12 VDC Power Supply +): Power Input
- Blue (12 VDC Power Supply -): Power Input
Note: The diagram indicates a suggested 1A fuse to protect wiring leading to the thermostat. Connections for "Cool Only" applications may not include furnace wiring.
6. Operation
The Briidea RV Thermostat is designed for user-friendly operation with its clear LCD and dedicated function buttons.
