4. Drainage Options
Your Yaufey dehumidifier offers two drainage methods:
- Manual Drainage: The unit collects water in its 1.06-gallon internal water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Empty the tank and reinsert it to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage: For hands-free operation, attach the included 3.28 ft drain hose to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a suitable floor drain or container. You may also connect your own standard garden hose with an 8 mm diameter.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.

When the 'Bucket Full' indicator illuminates, carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit. Empty the collected water and slide the tank back into place until it clicks securely. Ensure the tank is properly seated to resume operation.
2. Cleaning the Air Filter
The reusable air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. A 'Clean Filter' reminder light may illuminate.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Remove the filter from the back of the unit (refer to diagram in manual).
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it.
- Plug in the unit and press the 'Clean Filter' button (if available) to reset the reminder.
3. Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is clean and dry. Coil the power cord neatly (using the cord wrap on the back if available). Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | No power, power cord loose, water tank full or not properly inserted. | Check power connection, ensure tank is empty and correctly seated. |
| Unit is running but not collecting water. | Ambient temperature too low, humidity setting too high, air filter clogged, continuous drainage active. | Ensure room temperature is above 41°F (5°C), lower humidity setting, clean air filter, check continuous drainage setup. |
| Unit is noisy. | Unit not on a level surface, air filter clogged, fan speed set to high. | Place on a level surface, clean air filter, reduce fan speed. |
| Frost on coils. | Normal operation in low temperatures. | Unit will auto-defrost. Do not manually remove frost. |
