7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Auxbeam LED Pods, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens and housing with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the lens.
  • Connection Check: Regularly inspect all wiring connections for corrosion, looseness, or damage. Ensure they remain secure and waterproof.
  • Mounting Hardware: Check mounting bolts and brackets periodically to ensure they are tight and the lights are securely positioned.
  • Cover Inspection: Inspect the interchangeable covers for any cracks or damage that might affect their protective qualities.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Auxbeam LED Pods, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Lights do not turn on. No power, blown fuse, loose connection, faulty switch. Check battery connections. Inspect the fuse in the wiring harness and replace if blown. Verify all wiring connections are secure. Test the switch for functionality.
Lights are dim or flickering. Insufficient power, loose connection, voltage drop. Ensure proper voltage supply (9-32V). Check for loose or corroded connections. Verify wire gauge is adequate for the length of the run.
Fuse blows repeatedly. Short circuit, incorrect wiring, excessive current draw. Important: Do not connect the white (DRL) and yellow (turn signal) wires to 12V simultaneously. This will cause an overload. Review wiring diagram carefully. Ensure no bare wires are touching.
One light not working. Faulty light, loose connection to that specific light. Check the connection to the non-working light. If connections are good, the light itself may be faulty.
