5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Information

The main display is divided into several sections, providing a clear overview of all data:

  • Top Section: Time, Date, Day of Week, Moon Phase, Alarm Status.
  • Middle Section (Outdoor): Outdoor Temperature, Outdoor Humidity, Current Channel, Weather Forecast Icon, Barometric Pressure.
  • Bottom Section (Indoor): Indoor Temperature, Indoor Humidity, MAX/MIN records indicator.

5.2 Weather Forecast

The weather station analyzes atmospheric pressure trends to predict weather for the next 12-24 hours. The forecast icons will change accordingly. For optimal accuracy, allow the unit to operate continuously for at least 72 hours to learn local pressure patterns.

5.3 Alarm and Snooze Function

To set the alarm, press and hold the [ALARM] button. Use [UP/MEM] and [DOWN/CF] to adjust the hour and minute. Press [ALARM] again to confirm. When the alarm sounds, press the [SN/LIGHT] button to activate the snooze function for 5 minutes. To stop the alarm, press any other button.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and external sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
  • Sensor Placement: For optimal performance, place the external sensor in a shaded, dry location away from direct sunlight and rain. Avoid placing it near high-power electrical appliances or behind thick load-bearing walls, as these can interfere with wireless transmission.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display/Unit not powering onBatteries are dead or incorrectly inserted; USB cable not connected or faulty.Check battery polarity and replace if necessary. Ensure USB cable is securely connected to a working power source.
Outdoor temperature/humidity not displayed or inaccurateSensor out of range; sensor batteries low; interference; sensor not paired.Move sensor closer to the main unit. Replace sensor batteries. Avoid placing near large metal objects or strong electromagnetic sources. Re-pair the sensor by re-inserting batteries in both units.
Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings (compared to other devices)Sensor exposed to direct sunlight or heat source; unit needs time to stabilize.Ensure sensor is in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Allow 1-2 hours for readings to stabilize after initial setup or relocation. Note that minor discrepancies between devices are normal.
Weather forecast seems incorrectUnit has not completed its 72-hour learning period; local microclimates.Allow the unit to operate for at least 72 hours for optimal forecast accuracy. The forecast is based on local atmospheric pressure changes and may not always match regional forecasts.
Backlight not staying onUnit is running on batteries. This is normal behavior for battery power to conserve energy. Connect the USB cable for continuous backlight.
