4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Stand Assembly

1. Carefully remove the monitor and stand components from the packaging.
2. Attach the stand neck to the monitor panel. Ensure it clicks securely into place or is fastened with screws if provided.
3. Attach the stand base to the stand neck. Tighten any screws to secure the assembly.

4.2 VESA Mounting

The monitor supports VESA 100x100mm mounting. If you are using a monitor arm, you may remove the warranty seal on the VESA mount area; the warranty remains valid. Ensure the monitor arm is compatible with the monitor's weight (6.6kg including stand) and VESA pattern. Note that some square-shaped VESA mounts might interfere with a slight protrusion at the bottom of the monitor's VESA area, potentially requiring a spacer or quick-release plate.

4.3 Connecting Cables

Connect the necessary cables to the monitor's ports. Refer to the diagram below for port locations.

• Power: Connect the power adapter to the monitor's DC 19V input and then to a power outlet.
• Video Input:
  • HDMI: Use the included HDMI cable or a certified HDMI 2.1 cable for 4K resolution at 60Hz. Older HDMI 1.0 or 1.4 cables may result in reduced performance (stuttering, ghosting, lower response).
  • DisplayPort (DP): Connect a DisplayPort 1.4 cable for optimal 4K 60Hz performance and 10-bit color depth (RGB).
  • USB-C: Connect a USB-C cable (65W compatible) to your device for video, data, and power delivery. Ensure your device supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C.
• Audio Output: Connect headphones or external speakers to the 3.5mm audio jack.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the monitor to turn it on or off. The power indicator light will show the monitor's status.

5.2 OSD Menu Navigation

The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the joystick or buttons (depending on your model) on the back or bottom of the monitor to navigate the menu. Press the center button to confirm selections.

5.3 Display Settings

• Brightness & Contrast: Adjust these settings to your preference. The monitor also features an automatic brightness adjustment technology that senses ambient light and adjusts the screen brightness accordingly. This feature can be manually toggled On/Off in the OSD menu.
• Color Modes: Select from various color profiles such as sRGB, DCI-P3, or AdobeRGB to match your workflow requirements.
• HDR Mode: The HDR1000 function is designed for HDR-compatible games and movies. By default, HDR mode is OFF from the factory. To enable it, you must manually turn it ON in the OSD menu. If HDR is directly enabled in your operating system without activating it on the monitor, the screen may appear gray.
• Blue Light Reduction: Activate the blue light reduction mode to minimize eye fatigue during extended viewing periods.
• Input Source: Manually select the input source (HDMI1, HDMI2, DP, USB-C) from the OSD menu if the monitor does not automatically detect it.

5.4 Ergonomic Adjustments

The monitor stand allows for various adjustments to optimize your viewing comfort:

• Height Adjustment: Adjust the monitor height up to 12cm (max 15cm from desk, min 3cm).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Monitor

To clean the monitor screen, gently wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive screen cleaner. Avoid using alcohol-based cleaners or harsh chemicals. For the monitor body, use a soft, dry cloth.

6.2 Storage

When storing the monitor for an extended period, ensure it is powered off and disconnected from all cables. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and physical damage.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Signal: If the monitor displays "No Signal" after connecting cables, open the OSD menu and manually re-select the correct input source (HDMI, DP, or USB-C). Ensure all cables are securely connected.
• Gray Screen in HDR Mode: If the screen appears gray when HDR is enabled, ensure that HDR mode is manually activated within the monitor's OSD menu. Directly enabling HDR in your operating system without monitor activation can cause this issue.
• Poor Image Quality (Stuttering, Ghosting): This can occur if using older HDMI cables (e.g., HDMI 1.0 or 1.4) with a 4K high-end display. For optimal performance, use certified HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 cables.
• USB-C Power Delivery Not Working: Ensure you are using a USB-C cable rated for 65W power delivery. Not all USB-C cables support this wattage.
• Monitor Arm Mounting Issues: If your VESA mount does not fit perfectly, especially with square-shaped mounts, a small protrusion at the bottom of the monitor's VESA area might be the cause. Consider using a VESA spacer or a quick-release plate.
