Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

The Nightfox Swift 2 Pro requires one Lithium Ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Connect the included USB charging cable to the goggles and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

2. Head Strap / Helmet Mount Attachment

The goggles can be used either head-mounted or helmet-mounted.

  • Head Mount: Attach the included head strap to the designated mounting points on the goggles. Adjust the straps for a secure and comfortable fit on your head.
  • Helmet Mount: Use the provided Dovetail helmet mount adaptor to attach the goggles to compatible helmet mounting systems (e.g., Wilcox G24). Ensure the adaptor is securely fastened to both the goggles and the helmet mount.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (typically located on the top of the device) for a few seconds to turn the goggles on or off. The internal display will illuminate upon activation.

2. Focus Adjustment

Rotate the focus wheel, usually located near the objective lens, to achieve a clear image. Adjust until the viewed scene appears sharp on the internal display.

3. IR Illumination (Infrared)

The Nightfox Swift 2 Pro features dual IR LEDs:

  • 940nm IR: Provides covert illumination with virtually no visible red glow, ideal for situations requiring discretion. Effective range up to 300 feet.
  • 850nm IR: Offers a longer viewing range, up to 430 feet, but may produce a faint red glow visible to others.

Use the dedicated IR button to cycle through IR levels and switch between 850nm and 940nm modes. Adjust the IR intensity as needed for varying darkness levels.

4. Digital Zoom

The goggles offer 1x optical magnification and up to 3x digital zoom. Use the zoom buttons (often marked with '+' and '-') to magnify the image on the display. Note that digital zoom may reduce image quality at higher magnifications.

5. Video Recording

The Swift 2 Pro records crisp HD 1080p video with sound. To start recording, press the Record button. Press it again to stop. Videos are saved to the included 32GB memory card. Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly before recording.

Image is blurry.Focus wheel not adjusted. User has farsightedness.Rotate the focus wheel until the image is clear. If you wear corrective lenses for farsightedness, the internal display may appear blurry. Adjusting the distance from your eye to the eyepiece or using your corrective lenses may help.
Poor night vision performance.IR illuminator is off or set to low intensity.Activate the IR illuminator and increase its intensity. Ensure you are using the appropriate IR wavelength (850nm for longer range, 940nm for covertness).
Cannot record video/take photos.Memory card is full, missing, or corrupted.Check if the memory card is inserted. Delete old files or replace the card if full. Format the card if corrupted (this will erase all data).
