Setup
1. Unpacking and Component Check
Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Ensure all protective tapes and materials are removed from the exterior and interior of the machine. Verify that the following components are included:

2. Installing Toner Cartridges
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly from the machine.
- Unpack each toner cartridge and gently shake it horizontally several times to distribute the toner evenly.
- Insert each toner cartridge firmly into its corresponding color slot in the drum unit until it clicks into place.
- Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer.
- Close the front cover.
3. Loading Paper
- Pull the paper tray completely out of the printer.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper you are loading (e.g., A4, Letter).
- Fan the paper stack to prevent jams and load it into the tray, print side down. Do not overfill the tray.
- Gently push the paper tray back into the printer until it locks.
- Confirm the paper size and type on the printer's LCD display if prompted.
4. Connecting Power and Initial Power On
- Connect the power cable to the printer's power input and then to a wall outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the 2-line LCD display to set the language and other initial settings.
5. Network Connection (Wi-Fi or USB)
Your printer supports both Wi-Fi and USB connectivity.
- Wi-Fi Connection:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to Network settings.
- Select WLAN and then Setup Wizard.
- The printer will search for available networks. Select your network (SSID) from the list.
- Enter your network password (network key) using the control panel.
- Once connected, the Wi-Fi indicator will illuminate.
- USB Connection:
- Connect one end of a USB cable (not included) to the USB port on the printer.
- Connect the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- Install the printer drivers from the provided CD-ROM or download them from the official Brother support website.

Operating Instructions
1. Printing Documents
- From a Computer:
- Open the document you wish to print.
- Select Print from the application's menu (e.g., File > Print).
- Choose Brother DCP-L3515CDW as your printer.
- Adjust print settings such as color/monochrome, paper size, and duplex printing (automatic double-sided printing) as needed.
- Click Print. The printer can achieve speeds of up to 18 pages per minute.
- From a Mobile Device (Brother iPrint&Scan):
- Download and install the Brother iPrint&Scan app from your device's app store.

- Use the arrow keys to select the number of copies (up to 7200 copies per series) and adjust settings like color/mono, quality, or enlargement/reduction.
- Press Start to begin copying. Copy speed is up to 18 pages per minute for both black and white.
3. Scanning Documents
- Place the document face down on the scanner glass or face up in the ADF.
- On the printer's control panel, press the Scan button.
- Select your desired scan destination (e.g., Scan to PC, Scan to Email, Scan to USB).
- Adjust scan settings such as color mode, resolution, and file format.
- Press Start to begin scanning.

Maintenance
1. Replacing Toner Cartridges
When a toner cartridge is low or empty, the printer's LCD display will show a message.
- Open the front cover.
- Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
- Press the green lock lever to release the empty toner cartridge from the drum unit.
- Unpack a new toner cartridge and insert it firmly into the drum unit until it clicks.
- Slide the green tab on the drum unit back and forth several times to clean the corona wire. Return the tab to its home position.
- Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer.
- Close the front cover.
2. Cleaning the Printer
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Scanner Glass: Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a non-abrasive glass cleaner to clean the scanner glass.
- Corona Wire: The corona wire in the drum unit should be cleaned when replacing toner cartridges, as described above.
3. Paper Handling
Always use recommended paper types and sizes. Ensure paper is stored in a dry environment to prevent curling or static buildup, which can lead to paper jams.
