Verify that all items are present in the package:

  • Benro Superslim Carbon-Fiber Tripod (TSSL08CN00P)
  • N00P Ball Head
  • Quick-Release Plate
  • Drawstring Bag

Setup

  1. Unfolding the Tripod: Gently extend the tripod legs from their folded position.
  2. Extending the Legs: Unlock the all-metal twist locks on each leg section. Extend the legs to the desired height and then firmly twist the locks clockwise to secure them. The 4-section legs allow for flexible height adjustments.
  3. Attaching the Quick-Release Plate: Locate the quick-release plate. Attach it to the bottom of your camera by screwing the mounting screw into the camera's tripod socket. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Mounting the Camera: Open the clamp on the N00P ball head. Slide the quick-release plate with your camera into the clamp until it clicks into place. Tighten the clamp lever to ensure the camera is firmly secured.
  5. Leveling the Tripod: Utilize the built-in bubble levels located on both the ball head and the tripod chassis to ensure your setup is perfectly level before shooting.

Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting Tripod Height: Loosen the leg twist locks, extend or retract the leg sections to achieve the desired height (up to 57.6 inches / 146 cm), and then firmly re-tighten the twist locks.
  2. Adjusting the Ball Head: The N00P ball head features a main locking knob to control the ball's movement. Loosen this knob to adjust your camera's angle and position, then tighten it to secure.
  3. Panoramic Movement: The ball head also includes a separate panoramic lock for smooth 360-degree rotation without affecting the camera's tilt. Loosen this lock for panoramic adjustments and tighten to secure.
  4. Low-Angle Shooting: For ultra-low angle photography, the tripod features a split center-column design. This allows the center column to be shortened or removed, enabling the tripod to achieve very low shooting positions.
  5. Accessory Attachment: The tripod is equipped with multiple ¼-20 accessory mounts. These allow for the attachment of additional equipment such as external monitors, microphones, or lighting.
  6. Load Capacity: The tripod is designed to support equipment weighing up to 8.8 lb (4 kg). Ensure your camera and accessories do not exceed this limit for optimal stability.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the carbon fiber legs and metal components with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Lubrication: Do not apply lubricants to the leg locks or ball head mechanisms unless specifically instructed by Benro support. Improper lubrication can attract dust and impair function.
  • Storage: When not in use, collapse the tripod to its compact size (~20.1 inches / 51 cm folded length, ~3.2 inches / 8 cm folded width) and store it in the provided drawstring bag in a dry, dust-free environment.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, knobs, and leg locks for tightness. Ensure the quick-release plate mechanism operates smoothly.

Troubleshooting

  • Tripod Instability: Ensure all leg twist locks are fully tightened. Verify that the quick-release plate is securely fastened to both the camera and the ball head. Check that the tripod is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Difficulty Adjusting Legs: If leg sections are stiff, ensure the twist locks are fully loosened before attempting to extend or retract. Clean any dirt or debris from the leg sections.
  • Ball Head Not Holding Position: Ensure the main locking knob on the ball head is fully tightened after positioning your camera. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 8.8 lb (4 kg).
  • Camera Not Level: Re-check the bubble levels on both the tripod and ball head. Adjust leg lengths or ball head tilt as necessary to achieve a level horizon.
