Introduction

The ZIYOULANG K6 is a versatile mechanical keyboard designed for various computing environments. It features a 100-key layout, PBT keycaps, and offers three connectivity modes: wired (Type-C), 2.4G wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. The keyboard also includes customizable RGB backlighting with multiple effects and hot-swappable switches for personalized typing experiences.

Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Charge

Carefully remove the keyboard and its accessories from the packaging. The package includes the ZIYOULANG K6 Mechanical Keyboard and a USB Type-C cable. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port and the other end to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter). The keyboard features a 2000mAh rechargeable battery.

2. Connection Modes

The ZIYOULANG K6 supports three distinct connection methods:

• Wired Mode (Type-C): Connect the keyboard directly to your device using the provided USB Type-C cable. This mode offers a stable, low-latency connection and simultaneously charges the keyboard.
• 2.4G Wireless Mode:
  1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the keyboard.
  2. Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Switch the keyboard's mode selector to the 2.4G position. The keyboard should automatically connect.
• Bluetooth 5.0 Mode:
  1. Switch the keyboard's mode selector to the Bluetooth position.
  2. On your device (computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone), open Bluetooth settings.
  3. The keyboard should appear as 'ZIYOULANG K6' or similar in the list of discoverable devices. Select it to pair.
  4. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your screen using the keyboard and press Enter.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Keyboard Functions

The K6 features a 100-key layout, retaining essential keys while maintaining a compact form factor. All standard alphanumeric and function keys operate as expected. The keyboard supports N-Key Rollover (NKRO), ensuring all key presses are registered accurately, even during rapid input, which is beneficial for gaming.

2. RGB Backlighting Control

The keyboard is equipped with 16.8 million color RGB backlighting and 9 distinct light effects. Use the designated function keys (often combined with the 'Fn' key) to cycle through lighting modes, adjust brightness, and change colors. 3. Hot-Swappable Switches

The ZIYOULANG K6 features hot-swappable switches, allowing users to change mechanical switches without soldering. This enables customization of typing feel and sound. To replace a switch:

1. Gently remove the keycap using a keycap puller.
2. Use a switch puller to carefully extract the switch from the PCB.
3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
4. Reattach the keycap.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your keyboard:

• Disconnect the keyboard from your device before cleaning.
• Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
• For keycap cleaning, you may remove them using a keycap puller and wash them with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
• Wipe the keyboard surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.

2. Battery Care

The keyboard is powered by a 2000mAh Lithium Ion battery. To prolong battery life:

• Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
• Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
• Use the provided Type-C cable for charging to ensure compatibility.
