Compatibility

The HATOKU Stylus is compatible with a wide range of iPad models. Please check your iPad model number to confirm compatibility.

Magnetic wireless charging is supported only on the following models:

Setup

Initial Charging:

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the stylus. You have two charging options:

  1. USB-C Fast Charging: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the stylus's charging port and a compatible USB power adapter. A full charge takes approximately 30 minutes.
  2. Magnetic Wireless Charging: For compatible iPad models (listed in the Compatibility section), simply attach the stylus magnetically to the side of your iPad. The stylus will begin charging wirelessly. A full magnetic charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Pairing:

The HATOKU Stylus does not require Bluetooth pairing or any special applications. Simply press the power button located at the top of the stylus to turn it on. It will automatically connect to your iPad, ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Basic Use:

Once powered on, the stylus is ready for writing, drawing, marking, signing, and taking notes directly on your iPad screen.

Palm Rejection:

The stylus features palm rejection technology, allowing you to rest your hand naturally on the iPad screen while writing or drawing without causing unintended marks or interference.

Tilt Function:

The stylus is equipped with tilt sensing technology. This allows you to vary the thickness and depth of your lines by simply tilting the stylus, mimicking the effect of a traditional pencil or brush. Note that this stylus does not have pressure sensitivity.

Battery Level Indicator:

When connected to your iPad via Bluetooth (for battery level display only, not for operation), you can view the stylus's battery level directly in the iPad's status bar or through the battery widget.

Smart Power Off:

To conserve battery, the stylus will automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Charging

The HATOKU Stylus offers flexible charging options:

Maintenance

Replacing Pen Nibs:

Over time, the pen nib may wear down. Replace it with one of the included spare nibs to maintain optimal performance.

  1. Gently twist the old nib counter-clockwise to remove it.
  2. Align a new nib with the stylus tip and twist clockwise until securely fastened. Do not overtighten.

Cleaning:

Wipe the stylus body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting
