Your JBL Tune Buds package includes the following items:

Setup

1. Charging the Earbuds and Case

Before first use, fully charge the earbuds and the charging case. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the case and to a power source. The indicator lights on the case will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

The earbuds provide up to 12 hours of playtime, with an additional 36 hours from the charging case, totaling up to 48 hours. With Active Noise Cancelling engaged, you get up to 10 hours from the earbuds and 30 hours from the case. A quick 15-minute Speed Charge provides approximately 4 hours of playtime.

2. Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

1. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
3. Search for "JBL Tune Buds" in the list of available devices and select it to connect.
4. Once connected, a confirmation sound will play, and the earbuds are ready for use.

The JBL Tune Buds support Bluetooth 5.3, allowing for independent use of either earbud and synchronized audio streaming.

3. Optimal Fit

Select the eartips that provide the most comfortable and secure fit for your ears. A proper fit is essential for optimal sound quality and effective noise cancellation. Experiment with the three included sizes to find your best fit.

Operating Instructions

1. Touch Controls

The JBL Tune Buds feature touch controls on each earbud for managing audio playback, calls, and noise control modes. Refer to the quick start guide or the JBL Headphones app for detailed customizable touch control functions.

• Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
• Next Track: Double tap on the right earbud.
• Previous Track: Triple tap on the left earbud.
• Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
• Reject Call: Press and hold on either earbud.
• Toggle Noise Control: Press and hold on the left earbud (default setting, customizable).

2. Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Smart Ambient

The earbuds offer three noise control modes:

• Active Noise Cancelling (ANC): Minimizes external audio distractions for an immersive listening experience.
• Ambient Aware: Allows you to hear your surroundings, enhancing safety and awareness without removing the earbuds.
• TalkThru: Lowers music volume and amplifies speech, enabling quick conversations without removing your earbuds.

You can switch between these modes using the touch controls or through the JBL Headphones app.

3. Making and Receiving Calls

The JBL Tune Buds are equipped with 4 microphones (two per earbud) for clear, hands-free stereo calls. The VoiceAware feature allows you to adjust how much of your own voice you hear during calls, providing a more natural conversation experience. Use the touch controls to manage calls.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Eartips: Remove and clean the eartips periodically with water and mild soap. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
• Storage: When not in use, store the earbuds in their charging case to protect them from dust and damage.
• Water Resistance: The earbuds are water resistant. Avoid submerging them in water or exposing them to excessive moisture. Ensure they are dry before placing them back in the charging case.
