Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Tiandy TC-C35XQ 5MP Fixed EW Camera. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper setup and functionality. Keep this manual for future reference.
Setup Guide
1. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present in the package:
- Tiandy TC-C35XQ 5MP Fixed EW Camera
- Mounting hardware (screws, wall plugs)
- Quick Start Guide / Documentation
2. Physical Installation
The TC-C35XQ camera is designed for wall mount installation. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the camera's weight (approximately 1.54 pounds).
- Select a suitable location for optimal surveillance coverage.
- Use the provided mounting template (if applicable) or the camera base to mark drilling points on the wall.
- Drill pilot holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
- Secure the camera base to the wall using the provided screws.
- Adjust the camera angle as needed. The bracket allows pan: 0° to 340°, tilt: 0° to 75°, and rotate: 0° to 360°.

3. Power and Network Connection
The camera supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a DC 12V power supply.
- PoE Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled switch or injector to the camera's RJ45 Ethernet port. This will provide both power and data connectivity.
- DC 12V Connection: If PoE is not used, connect a DC 12V power adapter (not included) to the camera's power input port. Then, connect an Ethernet cable from your network to the camera's RJ45 Ethernet port for data.
Ensure all connections are secure and protected from environmental elements, especially given the IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
Operation
1. Initial Configuration
After physical installation and power-up, the camera can be accessed and configured via a web browser or dedicated client software provided by Tiandy.
- Connect your computer to the same network as the camera.
- Use the client software or a network scanner to discover the camera's IP address.
- Open a web browser and enter the camera's IP address.
- Log in using the default credentials (refer to the Quick Start Guide for default username and password). It is highly recommended to change the default password immediately for security.
2. Video Monitoring and Recording
Through the web interface or client software, you can:
- View live video streams (up to 2880x1620 at 25fps).
- Configure recording schedules and methods (continuous, motion-triggered).
- Access and playback recorded footage.
- Adjust image settings such as saturation, brightness, contrast, and sharpness.
3. Smart Features
The TC-C35XQ camera includes advanced video analytics:
- Smart IR: Automatically adjusts infrared light intensity to prevent overexposure in night vision, providing clear images up to 30m (98.42 feet).
- Tripwire: Detects objects crossing a predefined virtual line.
- Perimeter: Detects objects entering or exiting a specified virtual area.
- Human/Vehicle Classification: Differentiates between human and vehicle targets for more accurate alerts.
- Early Warning (EW): Provides proactive alerts based on detected events.
- Smart Defog: Improves image clarity in foggy or hazy conditions.
4. Audio Features
The built-in microphone allows for audio monitoring of the surveillance area. Audio input/output (1/1) is also available for external audio devices if needed.
5. On-board Storage
The camera features a built-in MicroSD card slot, supporting cards up to 512 GB for local storage of video footage.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the camera lens and housing to ensure optimal image quality. Use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent can be used, followed by drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Firmware Updates
Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Keeping the camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
3. Data Backup
If using local SD card storage, regularly back up important footage to an external storage device or network-attached storage (NAS) to prevent data loss.
Troubleshooting
- No Image/Video:
- Check power supply (PoE or DC 12V) and network cable connections.
- Verify the camera's IP address and network settings.
- Ensure the camera is properly connected to your NVR or viewing software.
- Poor Image Quality:
- Clean the camera lens.
- Adjust image settings (brightness, contrast, sharpness) in the camera's web interface.
- Check for obstructions in the camera's field of view.
- Network Connection Issues:
- Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected and undamaged.
- Check your network router/switch status.
- Ensure the camera's IP address does not conflict with other devices on the network.
- Recording Not Working:
- Check if an SD card is inserted and properly formatted.
- Verify recording schedules and motion detection settings.
- Ensure sufficient storage space is available on the SD card or NVR.
