Model: RY31SC312VNM

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the RYOBI 12" Electric Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner. This accessory is designed to significantly reduce cleaning time for large flat surfaces by utilizing dual rotating high-pressure jets. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure safe and effective use of your surface cleaner.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection, and protective footwear when operating a pressure washer and its accessories. Never direct the spray at people, pets, or electrical devices.

3. Setup and Connection

  1. Prepare Pressure Washer: Ensure your electric pressure washer is turned off and disconnected from the power source. Release any residual pressure in the system by squeezing the trigger on the spray gun.
  2. Connect Surface Cleaner: The RYOBI 12" Surface Cleaner features a 1/4 inch quick-connect plug. Pull back the collar on your pressure washer's spray gun wand and insert the surface cleaner's plug until it clicks securely into place. Release the collar to lock it.
  3. Verify Connection: Gently tug on the surface cleaner to ensure it is firmly attached and will not detach during operation.
  4. Water Supply: Connect your garden hose to the pressure washer's water inlet and turn on the water supply.
  5. Power On: Plug in your electric pressure washer and turn it on according to its instruction manual.

4. Operating Instructions

The RYOBI 12" Surface Cleaner is designed for efficient cleaning of large, flat surfaces such as driveways, patios, and decks.

  1. Start Cleaning: With the pressure washer running, hold the spray gun firmly and lower the surface cleaner onto the surface to be cleaned. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin water flow.
  2. Movement: Move the surface cleaner slowly and steadily over the surface in overlapping passes. The dual rotating jets will clean a 12-inch wide path. Avoid lifting the cleaner off the surface while the trigger is engaged, as this can cause uneven cleaning or damage.
  3. Edge Cleaning: For edges or corners, you may need to use the standard pressure washer nozzle or carefully maneuver the surface cleaner.
  4. Stopping Operation: To stop cleaning, release the trigger on the spray gun. If you need to pause for an extended period, turn off the pressure washer.
  5. Post-Cleaning: After cleaning, turn off the pressure washer, disconnect it from the power source, and release any residual pressure. Disconnect the surface cleaner from the wand.
