3. Setup and Installation

The ZEROXCLUB BD102 system is designed for convenient and easy installation without the need for complex wiring.

3.1 Camera Installation

  1. Charge Cameras: Fully charge both cameras using the provided wall chargers or USB-C cables before first use. The solar panel extends battery life but initial charging ensures optimal performance.
  2. Attach Antennas: Screw the antennas securely onto the cameras.
  3. Mount Cameras: The cameras feature a strong magnetic base. Attach each camera to any metal surface on your vehicle (RV, trailer, truck, etc.) that is attracted to a magnetic field. Ensure the camera is positioned to provide the desired viewing angle. The magnetic base includes a protective rubber to prevent paint scratches.
  4. Adjust Camera Angle: The camera's angle can be adjusted by rotating its body on the magnetic base.
  5. Power On Cameras: Press the power button on each camera to activate it. The blue LED lights indicate the battery level and charging status.

5. Maintenance

  • Camera Charging: The built-in 9600mAh rechargeable battery is designed for long working times. The solar panel helps extend battery life, but regular charging via USB-C is recommended, especially during periods of low sunlight or frequent use.
  • Cleaning: Keep camera lenses and the monitor screen clean for optimal image clarity. Use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Waterproofing: The cameras are IP69K waterproof, meaning they are protected against high-pressure, high-temperature jet sprays and dust. Ensure the rubber plug is properly inserted into the charging port to maintain water resistance.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Signal/Image Freezing:
    • Ensure cameras are powered on and fully charged.
    • Check that antennas are securely attached to both cameras and the monitor.
    • Verify that the monitor is receiving power.
    • Minimize obstructions between cameras and the monitor for optimal signal transmission. The system has a transmission distance of up to 328 feet (without obstacles).
  • Monitor Not Turning On:
    • Confirm the power cable is securely plugged into the 12V socket.
    • Check the vehicle's 12V socket for power (e.g., by plugging in another device).
    • Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on if the socket is ignition-controlled.
  • Camera Not Charging via Solar:
    • Ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight.
    • Clean the solar panel surface regularly to remove dirt or debris.
    • If the battery is very low, a direct USB-C charge may be needed to initiate charging.
  • Magnetic Mount Not Holding:
    • Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and made of a ferrous metal.
    • Avoid mounting on non-metallic surfaces or areas with thick paint/coatings that might weaken the magnetic hold.
