4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Battery Installation
Both the outdoor meteorological station and the indoor display unit require batteries for operation. Ensure you have the correct battery types as specified in the specifications table.
- Outdoor Meteorological Station: Locate the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor unit. Insert 2 x AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Indoor Display Unit: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the display unit. Insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
After inserting batteries, the units should power on automatically and attempt to establish a connection.

4.3 Placement and Mounting
The PerGar Wireless Weather Station offers flexible mounting options for the outdoor sensor and placement for the indoor display unit.
- Outdoor Sensor: The outdoor sensor unit can be either wall-mounted or placed on a suitable surface using the provided bracket and screws/expansion tubes. Choose a location that is open and free from obstructions (such as large buildings, trees, or metal structures) to ensure accurate readings for wind speed/direction and optimal wireless signal transmission to the indoor display unit. The maximum transmission distance is approximately 100 meters (328 feet) in open areas.
- Indoor Display Unit: The display unit can be placed on a desktop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the keyhole slot on its back. Position it in a central location within your home for easy viewing and to ensure good reception from the outdoor sensor.

5.4 Alarm and Warning Settings
The weather station allows you to customize temperature, humidity, and wind speed warnings. This feature alerts you when specific thresholds are met. Consult your printed manual for detailed instructions on setting these alarms.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your PerGar Wireless Weather Station, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the display unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surfaces.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both units when the low battery indicator appears on the display, or if readings become inconsistent. Always replace with new alkaline batteries of the specified type.
- Outdoor Sensor Placement: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's mounting to ensure it remains secure and free from new obstructions that could affect readings or signal transmission. Clear any debris (leaves, dirt) from the wind vane and sensor cups.
- Storage: If storing the weather station for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your weather station, try the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Readings on Display / Outdoor Data Missing:
- Check batteries in both the indoor display unit and the outdoor sensor. Replace if low or depleted.
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is within the effective transmission range (approx. 100m) and there are no significant physical obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the units.
- Try bringing the outdoor sensor closer to the indoor display unit temporarily to re-establish connection.
- Restart both units by removing and reinserting batteries.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Temperature/Humidity: Ensure the outdoor sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources (e.g., vents, appliances) that could skew readings. The indoor unit should also be away from direct heat or cold sources.
- Wind Speed/Direction: Verify that the wind vane and sensor cups on the outdoor unit are spinning freely and are not obstructed by debris. Ensure the unit is mounted securely and level.
- Display Not Working:
- Check the batteries in the display unit.
- Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
If problems persist after attempting these steps, please refer to the support section.
