Setup and Operation

1. Battery Installation:

The MtiolHig Cordless Brad Nailer is compatible with Makita 18V lithium-ion batteries (BL1860, BL1850, BL1840, BL1830, BL1815). Ensure the battery has a capacity greater than 4A for optimal performance.

1. Ensure the nailer is powered off.
2. Align the battery with the battery port on the tool.
3. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.

2. Loading Brad Nails:

This nailer uses 18 gauge brad nails ranging from 5/8" (15mm) to 1-1/4" (32mm).

1. Ensure Power is Off: Always remove the battery before loading nails for safety.
2. Operate Lever: Press the magazine latch to release the sliding magazine.
3. Align Nails: Insert a strip of 18 gauge brad nails into the magazine, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
4. Secure Magazine: Push the sliding magazine back until it locks securely into position.

3. Operating the Nailer:

1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the tool. The LED lights will indicate readiness.
2. Select Firing Mode: Use the dual-mode toggle switch to select between sequential firing (single nail per trigger pull) or contact actuation (multiple nails by holding trigger and bumping workpiece).
3. Position Tool: Place the nose of the nailer firmly against the workpiece, ensuring the safety lever is fully depressed.
4. Fire Nail: Pull the trigger to drive a nail.
5. Power Off: After use, press the power button to turn off the tool and remove the battery.

Maintenance

Clearing Nail Jams:

The tool features a tool-free jam release mechanism for quick and easy clearing of nail jams.

1. Disconnect Power: Always remove the battery before attempting to clear a jam.
2. Open Jam Release: Locate and open the tool-free jam release lever/mechanism on the nose of the tool.
3. Remove Jammed Nail: Carefully remove any jammed nails or debris using pliers if necessary. Do not use excessive force.
4. Close Jam Release: Close the jam release mechanism securely.
5. Test: Reinsert the battery and test the nailer with a few nails on a scrap piece of wood.

General Cleaning and Storage:

• Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down surfaces.
• Regularly inspect the magazine and nose for any build-up that could impede nail feeding.
• Store the nailer in a dry, secure location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
