It utilizes Bluetooth 5.1 technology for stable connections, offers a 500-meter intercom range, and features intelligent noise cancellation for clear audio. The headset is built with an IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring reliable performance in various weather conditions. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your X3 PRO headset.

Setup and Installation

1. Mounting the Headset

The X3 PRO headset uses a clip installation method, suitable for most full-face, jet, rally, half-helmets, and retro helmets.

  1. Identify a suitable location on the side of your helmet where the main unit can be securely clipped without obstructing vision or movement.
  2. Attach the mounting clip to the helmet shell. Ensure it is firmly secured.
  3. Slide the X3 PRO main unit onto the clip until it locks into place.

2. Speaker and Microphone Installation

  1. Open the helmet's inner lining to access the ear pockets.
  2. Attach the speakers to the inside of the helmet's ear pockets using the provided nylon stickers. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound.
  3. Position the microphone near your mouth, ensuring it is not obstructed by the helmet's chin bar or padding.
  4. Route the speaker and microphone wires neatly under the helmet's lining to the main unit's connection port.
  5. Connect the speaker/microphone assembly to the X3 PRO main unit.

3. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the headset.

  • Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the headset's charging port.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V1A power adapter (not included).
  • Charging typically takes approximately 2.5 hours. The indicator light will change to show charging status.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually the 'M' button or a dedicated power button) for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates and you hear an audible prompt.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button again for a few seconds until the indicator light turns off and you hear an audible prompt.

2. Bluetooth Pairing with Smartphone

  1. With the headset powered off, press and hold the power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "X3 PRO" (or similar name) from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the indicator light will change, and you will hear a confirmation tone.

3. Intercom Pairing (Rider-to-Rider)

The X3 PRO supports 500-meter intercom calls and can pair with a third device for group communication.

  1. Ensure both X3 PRO headsets are powered on and not connected to other devices.
  2. On one headset, enter intercom pairing mode (refer to specific button press in the included quick start guide, typically a long press of the intercom button).
  3. On the second headset, also enter intercom pairing mode.
  4. The headsets will automatically search and connect to each other. A confirmation tone will indicate successful pairing.

4. Basic Functions

  • Answering/Ending Calls: Press the phone button once.
  • Rejecting Calls: Press and hold the phone button for 2 seconds.
  • Music Play/Pause: Press the play/pause button once.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the volume up/down buttons (if available) or the main control knob.
  • Intercom Activation: Press the intercom button once to initiate or end an intercom conversation.

5. Colorful Lighting Feature

The X3 PRO features colorful breathing lights. Refer to your quick start guide for specific button presses to activate or deactivate this lighting mode.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headset's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Water Resistance: The headset has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. While it is designed for use in rain and snow, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the headset regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the headset is fully charged.
    • Check the charging cable and power adapter for damage.
  • Cannot Pair with Phone:
    • Ensure the headset is in pairing mode (rapidly flashing indicator light).
    • Turn off and on your phone's Bluetooth.
    • Forget the device from your phone's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
    • Ensure the headset is not already connected to another device.
  • Intercom Not Connecting:
    • Ensure both headsets are powered on and in intercom pairing mode.
    • Make sure both headsets are within the 500-meter range and have a clear line of sight.
    • Reset both headsets and attempt pairing again.
  • Poor Audio Quality / Noise:
    • Ensure speakers are correctly positioned over your ears.
    • Check microphone placement to ensure it's close to your mouth and not obstructed.
    • The X3 PRO features intelligent noise cancellation; however, extreme wind noise may still affect clarity.
    • Ensure the headset is within range of the connected device (phone or other intercom).
