3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

• Remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape.
• Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the retailer immediately.
• Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

3.2 Placement

• Place the freezer on a firm, level surface to prevent vibrations and ensure proper operation.
• Ensure adequate ventilation. Maintain a minimum of 4 inches (10 cm) clearance from walls and other appliances on all sides and above the unit.
• Avoid placing the freezer in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as stoves, heaters, or radiators. High ambient temperatures can reduce cooling efficiency and increase energy consumption.
• This freezer is suitable for use in kitchens, garages, and basements, provided the ambient temperature remains within the recommended operating range.

3.3 Initial Cleaning

• Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

• Plug the freezer into a dedicated 120V, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.
• Do not plug the freezer into an outlet controlled by a wall switch or pull cord.

4.1 Temperature Control

The freezer features an adjustable thermostat with 7 temperature modes. The dial is located on the front lower right side of the unit.

1. Turn the thermostat dial to select the desired temperature setting.
2. Settings range from 1 (least cold/refrigeration) to 7 (deep freeze).
3. For initial startup or rapid freezing, set the dial to a higher number (e.g., 7) for several hours, then adjust to a suitable setting for long-term storage.
4. The optimal setting depends on ambient temperature, frequency of door opening, and the amount of food stored.

4.2 Loading the Freezer

• Do not overload the freezer. Leave some space between items for proper air circulation.
• Use the removable storage basket for smaller, frequently accessed items.
• Ensure food is properly packaged to prevent freezer burn and maintain quality.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

• Interior: Unplug the freezer before cleaning. Use a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or sharp objects. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
• Door Seal: The freezer features a 99.99% antibacterial rate door seal. Clean the door gasket regularly with a damp cloth to ensure a tight seal and prevent bacterial growth.

5.2 Defrosting

• Defrost the freezer when ice accumulation reaches about 0.2 inches (5 mm) thickness.
• Unplug the freezer. Remove all food and place it in another freezer or cooler.
• Leave the lid open to allow ice to melt naturally. Use the provided frost scraper to gently remove ice. Do not use sharp metal objects.
• Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
• Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging it back in and returning food.

5.3 Care During Vacation/Storage

• Short Vacations: Leave the freezer operating.
• Long Vacations/Storage: Unplug the freezer, empty all contents, defrost, clean, and dry. Leave the lid slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
