This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new water filtration system. The Vortopt Q6-C2 system is designed to provide clean, filtered water directly from your kitchen faucet, reducing common contaminants while retaining beneficial minerals. It features a compact design for under-sink installation and includes a dedicated stainless steel faucet.

2. Safety Information and Important Considerations

• Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
• Do not install the system where it will be exposed to freezing temperatures.
• The applicable water temperature range for this filter is 41-100.4°F (5-38°C).
• The system is designed for municipal tap water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
• The filter material is BPA-free and Lead-free, and the product is NSF/ANSI 42 certified for material safety and structural integrity.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Vortopt Q6-C2 water filter system:

1. Turn off Water Supply: Locate the cold water supply valve under your sink and turn it off. Open the existing kitchen faucet to relieve pressure.
2. Install Feed Water Adapter: Disconnect the cold water line from your existing faucet. Install the provided feed water adapter (9/16" or 1/2" depending on your plumbing) to the cold water supply valve. Reconnect the cold water line to the adapter. Ensure to use Teflon tape on threaded connections to prevent leaks.
3. Install Faucet: Drill a 1/2-inch hole in your sink or countertop if a dedicated hole for a water filter faucet is not already present. Insert the stem of the new stainless steel faucet through the hole and secure it from underneath with the provided washer and nut.
4. Connect Tubing: Connect one end of the white 9/16" PE pipe to the outlet of the feed water adapter and the other end to the inlet port of the filter system. Connect another length of PE pipe from the outlet port of the filter system to the stem of the new stainless steel faucet. Ensure all quick-connect fittings are pushed in firmly until they click.
5. Mount Filter System: Choose a suitable location under the sink to mount the filter system vertically. Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to secure the filter unit to the cabinet wall. Ensure there is enough clearance for future filter replacements.
6. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check all connections for leaks. If any leaks are detected, turn off the water supply, tighten the connections, and recheck.
7. Flush the System: Open the new stainless steel faucet and let water run for at least 5-10 minutes to flush out any carbon fines and air from the system. The water may appear cloudy initially; this is normal and will clear up.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and flushed, your Vortopt Q6-C2 system is ready for use. Simply open the dedicated stainless steel faucet to dispense filtered water.

• The system provides a steady and fast water flow of approximately 0.75 gallons per minute, allowing a 5oz cup to be filled in about 3 seconds.
• The filter efficiently reduces rust, lead, sand, sediment, chlorine, bad odor, and bad taste, while retaining beneficial minerals like Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), and Potassium (K).
• Note: This system does not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).

Filter Replacement

The filter cartridge should be replaced every 6-12 months, or after filtering approximately 19,000 gallons, depending on your water quality and usage. Timely replacement is crucial for continued effective filtration.

1. Turn off Water Supply: Turn off the cold water supply valve to the filter system.
2. Release Pressure: Open the filtered water faucet to release any remaining pressure in the system.
3. Remove Old Filter: Twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise to unlock it from the filter head. Pull it down to remove. The integrated filter design minimizes secondary pollution and ensures a leakproof seal during replacement.
4. Install New Filter: Remove the protective cap from the new filter cartridge. Insert the new filter into the filter head and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place. This process typically takes only 3 seconds.
5. Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve.
6. Flush New Filter: Open the filtered water faucet and let water run for 5-10 minutes to flush the new filter.
