Setup
1. Power Up Your Sensor
To power on your Tapo T300 sensor, remove the battery insulation tab located at the back of the device. The LED indicator on the sensor should begin to blink, indicating it is powered on and ready for pairing. If the LED does not blink, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to reset the sensor.

After powering up, you can test the sensor's functionality. The sensor is equipped with six highly sensitive probes on both the top and bottom surfaces. When water touches these probes, the sensor will trigger its built-in 90dB alarm. You can simulate a leak by dripping a small amount of water onto the probes or placing the sensor on a wet surface.

Troubleshooting
- Sensor not detecting water: Ensure the sensor probes are clean and free from debris. Verify that enough water is present to bridge the contacts on the sensor. The plastic feet on the bottom are designed to slightly raise the sensor, requiring a small amount of water to trigger.
- No app notifications: Check if the sensor is properly paired with your Tapo Hub. Ensure your Tapo app is updated and notifications are enabled in your phone's settings. Verify that your Tapo Hub has a stable internet connection.
- Alarm not sounding: Check the battery level of the sensor. Ensure the alarm volume is not set to 'Mute' (double-press the control button to cycle through volume levels).
- Difficulty pairing with Hub: Make sure the Tapo Hub's firmware is up to date. Try resetting the sensor by pressing and holding the control button for 5 seconds until the LED blinks, then attempt pairing again.
