Operating Instructions

This pitcher is designed to be used with a coffee machine's steam wand or an external milk frother. It does not contain an internal heating or frothing mechanism.

For Frothing Milk with a Steam Wand:

  1. Fill the Pitcher: Pour cold milk into the pitcher. For frothing, do not exceed the 150ml MAX frothing line (refer to Figure 1). Overfilling will result in spills.
  2. Purge Steam Wand: Before frothing, briefly open the steam valve on your espresso machine to release any condensed water.
  3. Position the Wand: Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Angle the pitcher slightly to create a vortex.
  4. Activate Steam: Turn on the steam wand to full power. You should hear a gentle "hissing" sound as air is incorporated into the milk.
  5. Texture the Milk: As the milk heats and expands, slowly lower the pitcher to keep the steam wand tip just below the surface. Continue until the desired volume and texture are achieved.
  6. Heat the Milk: Once the milk has reached the desired texture, submerge the steam wand deeper into the milk to heat it to the desired temperature (typically 60-70°C or 140-160°F). The handle is designed to remain cool, but use caution.
  7. Clean the Wand: Immediately after frothing, turn off the steam, remove the pitcher, and wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly purge the steam wand again.
  8. Pour: Gently swirl the frothed milk in the pitcher to integrate the foam and liquid. Then, pour into your coffee cup to create your desired beverage or latte art.
