Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:
- 4 x Chrome Posts with Leveling Feet
- 4 x Wire Shelves
- 16 x Snap-on Sleeves (4 per shelf)
Note: For Add-On Shelving Units, the package includes 2 posts, 4 shelves, snap-on sleeves, and 8 S-hooks for joining units.
4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the Nexel Chrome Wire Shelving Unit is designed to be straightforward and tool-free.
- Attach Leveling Feet: Screw the leveling feet into the bottom of each post. Ensure they are securely tightened.
- Install Snap-on Sleeves: Locate the desired height for your first (bottom) shelf on the numbered posts. Each post has numbered grooves at 1-inch increments. Snap two halves of a sleeve together around the post at the desired groove. Repeat for all four posts at the same height.
- Place First Shelf: Carefully lower a wire shelf over the four posts, ensuring that the corners of the shelf slide down over the snap-on sleeves. The shelf should rest firmly on the sleeves.
- Install Remaining Shelves: Repeat step 2 and 3 for the remaining three shelves, positioning them at your desired heights.
- Level the Unit: Once all shelves are in place, adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of each post to ensure the unit is stable and level on your floor.

- Loading: Place heavier items on lower shelves for increased stability. Distribute weight evenly across the shelf surface.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Nexel Chrome Wire Shelving Unit, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe down the chrome surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and dry thoroughly immediately to prevent water spots or corrosion. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the unit for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Ensure all snap-on sleeves are securely in place.
- Stability Check: Regularly check the unit's stability. If it wobbles, re-adjust the leveling feet until it is firm.
- Environment: While chrome is durable, prolonged exposure to high humidity or corrosive environments may affect its finish. Store in a dry environment if possible.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your shelving unit, consider the following:
- Unit is Wobbly:
- Ensure the unit is on a flat, level surface.
- Adjust the leveling feet at the base of each post until the unit is stable.
