3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Wiring Diagram

The TM612 timer switch features 6 pins for connection. Refer to the diagram below for proper wiring. The device operates on a 220-250 VAC power supply.

  • Power Input (L, N): Connect the live (L) and neutral (N) wires from your 220-250 VAC power source to the corresponding terminals.
  • Relay Outputs (C1, 1, 2, C2, 4, 5): The TM612 has two independent relay outputs. Each relay has a common (C), normally open (NO), and normally closed (NC) contact.
    • Relay 1: C1 (Common), 1 (Normally Open), 2 (Normally Closed)
    • Relay 2: C2 (Common), 4 (Normally Open), 5 (Normally Closed)
    Connect your load (e.g., light, motor) to the appropriate relay contacts based on whether you need it to turn ON when the timer activates (NO) or turn OFF (NC).

3.2 Initial Power-Up

Upon initial power-up or after a prolonged power outage, the display may be blank. The internal rechargeable battery will charge automatically. Allow a few minutes for the display to activate. If the display remains blank, press the "Res" button to reset the device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press the "Menu" button to enter the main menu.
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to navigate to the "Time" setting.
  3. Press "OK" to select.
  4. The hour digit will flash. Use "+" or "-" to adjust the hour. Press "OK" to confirm and move to minutes.
  5. Adjust minutes and then the day of the week (1=Monday, 7=Sunday) using the same method.
  6. Press "Menu" to exit and save settings.

4.2 Programming ON/OFF Schedules

The TM612 supports up to 44 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time for a specific day or group of days.

  1. Press the "Menu" button.
  2. Navigate to "Program" using "+" or "-". Press "OK".
  3. The display will show "1 ON". This is your first ON program.
  4. Use "+" or "-" to set the desired ON hour, then press "OK". Repeat for minutes.
  5. Next, select the day(s) for this program. You can choose:
    • Specific day (e.g., Mon, Tue)
    • Weekdays (Mon-Fri)
    • Weekends (Sat-Sun)
    • Every day (Mon-Sun)
    • Custom combinations
    Use "+" or "-" to cycle through options, then "OK" to confirm.
  6. After setting the ON time and day(s), the display will show "1 OFF". Set the desired OFF hour and minutes using the same method.
  7. Press "OK" to confirm the OFF time.
  8. The display will now show "2 ON", ready for the next program. Repeat steps 4-7 for additional programs.
  9. To exit programming mode and save, press "Menu".

Note: If you do not set an OFF time for an ON program, the device will remain ON until the next programmed OFF time or until manually switched.

4.3 Manual Override

The TM612 allows for manual override of the current ON/OFF state without affecting programmed schedules. This is typically done via a dedicated button or a combination of buttons (e.g., pressing "OK" outside of menu mode).

Look for a button labeled "Manual" or "Mode" or try pressing the "OK" button when the device is displaying the current time. Each press will cycle through states like ON, OFF, AUTO ON, AUTO OFF.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the timer switch. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the device.

6. Troubleshooting
