1. Product Overview

The Veise RZ06 Wi-Fi Smart Lock is an advanced keyless entry system designed for front doors, offering multiple access methods and smart home integration. 2. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present and in good condition before beginning installation.

3. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:

  • Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm-50mm)
  • Hole Diameter: 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38mm or 54mm)
  • Minimum Distance (from door edge to center of hole): 1-5/8" (40mm)
  • Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm)
  • Door Compatibility: Fits most US standard left & right-handed doors. Compatible with single cylinder deadbolts; not compatible with mortise/integrated systems.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Door: Remove any existing deadbolt. Ensure the door frame is clear and the latch hole is chiseled correctly for the new latch.
  2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the correct backset is selected. Secure with screws.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Feed the cable through the door hole and align the exterior keypad unit with the latch.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the exterior assembly using the provided screws.
  5. Connect Cables: Connect the cable from the exterior unit to the interior unit.
  6. Install the Interior Assembly: Mount the interior unit onto the mounting plate, ensuring the thumb turn spindle engages correctly with the latch. Secure with screws.
  7. Insert Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior unit and insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included).
  8. Test the Lock: Manually test the deadbolt operation using the thumb turn and physical key to ensure smooth functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

Access Methods:

  • Keypad Entry: Enter your programmed passcode on the touchscreen keypad, then press the '#' key to unlock.
  • Fob (Key Card) Entry: Present a registered fob to the designated sensor area on the exterior unit to unlock.
  • Physical Key Entry: Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock the deadbolt.
  • Thumb Turn: From the interior, rotate the thumb turn to manually lock or unlock the deadbolt.
  • APP Control: Use the Veise app on your smartphone to remotely unlock the door (requires Veise G2 gateway).

Locking the Door:

  • Automatic Locking: If enabled, the lock will automatically engage after a set period (1-900 seconds) once the door is closed.
  • One-Touch Locking: Press and hold the '#' key on the touchscreen keypad for a few seconds to lock the door.
  • Manual Locking: From the interior, rotate the thumb turn to lock the door.

5. App Control and Smart Features

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The smart lock operates on 4 AA alkaline batteries. Replace them when the low battery indicator appears on the keypad or in the app. Always replace all four batteries simultaneously with new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
  • Cleaning: Clean the touchscreen keypad and lock body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check the latch and deadbolt mechanism for smooth operation. If necessary, apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the internal moving parts of the latch. Do not lubricate the electronic components.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Veise app for available firmware updates for your lock. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
