2.1 Unpacking and Charging

Carefully unpack all components. Ensure the ThinkTool Mini device is fully charged before first use. Connect the provided charging cable to the device and a suitable power adapter.

2.2 Powering On and Software Update

  1. Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including Wi-Fi connection.
  3. It is recommended to perform a software update immediately after initial setup to ensure you have the latest features and vehicle coverage. Navigate to the 'Update' section on the main menu and select 'One-touch Update'.

2.3 Connecting to Vehicle

  1. Locate the vehicle's OBD2 port, typically under the dashboard on the driver's side.
  2. Plug the Bluetooth VCI dongle into the vehicle's OBD2 port. Ensure it is securely connected.
  3. On the ThinkTool Mini, the device will automatically establish a Bluetooth connection with the VCI dongle. A successful connection will be indicated on the device screen.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 All System Diagnostics

The ThinkTool Mini can access and diagnose all available electronic control units (ECUs) in a vehicle. This includes engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, IMMO, and more.

  1. From the main menu, select 'Diagnose'.
  2. The device will attempt to automatically identify the vehicle via AutoVIN. If AutoVIN is not supported or fails, you can manually select the vehicle make, model, and year.
  3. Once the vehicle is identified, select 'Health Report' or 'System Scan' to perform a comprehensive diagnostic scan.
  4. Review the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and their descriptions. You can clear codes after repairs are completed.
