Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ByDiffer 4K Media Player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| No image or signal on TV. | Ensure HDMI/AV cable is securely connected to both the player and the TV. Verify the TV input source is correctly selected (e.g., HDMI 1, AV). Try a different HDMI port or cable. |
| Player freezes or is unresponsive. | Disconnect the power adapter, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it to restart the device. Ensure media files are not corrupted. |
| External USB hard drive not recognized or powered. | Some USB hard drives require an additional 12V external power supply. Ensure the hard drive is properly powered. The player supports drives up to 8TB. Check if the file system is FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS. |
| Remote control not working. | Check if batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the player's IR receiver. |
| Playback is choppy or buffered. | Ensure your media files are not excessively large or high bitrate for your display setup. While the player supports 4K@30Hz and 200mbps, network or storage device speed can affect performance if streaming or using slow drives. |
