2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Installing the SIM Card and Battery

1. Remove the back cover of the dongle by gently prying it open from the notch.
2. Locate the SIM card slot. Insert your Micro SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner aligned as shown in the diagram. Ensure it clicks into place.
3. Remove the yellow protective film from the battery terminals before installation.
4. Insert the 2100mAh rechargeable battery into the battery compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly with the dongle's terminals.
5. Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it snaps securely into place.

2.2 Initial Power On and Charging

• Press and hold the power button on the dongle for a few seconds until the LED indicators light up.
• For first-time use or if the battery is low, connect the dongle to a power source using the provided Micro USB cable and a compatible USB wall charger or computer USB port. The battery indicator LED will show charging status.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 LED Indicators

The dongle features LED indicators to display its status:

• Signal Indicator: Shows the strength of the 4G LTE network signal.
• Wi-Fi Indicator: Indicates Wi-Fi hotspot activity.
• Battery Indicator: Displays battery level and charging status.

3.2 Connecting to the Wi-Fi Hotspot

1. Ensure the dongle is powered on and has a working SIM card with an active data plan.
2. On your Wi-Fi enabled device (laptop, smartphone, tablet), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
3. Locate the network name (SSID) for your dongle. The default SSID and Wi-Fi Key (password) are typically found on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the device packaging. For example, SSID: 4GWIFI_L_00013, Wi-Fi Key: 12345678.
4. Select the dongle's SSID and enter the Wi-Fi Key when prompted.
5. Once connected, your device will have internet access through the dongle's 4G LTE connection.

3.3 Charging the Device

To charge the dongle, connect the provided Micro USB cable to the dongle's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator LED will illuminate to show charging in progress. A full charge provides approximately 6 hours of continuous operation.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

• Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) as this can reduce its lifespan.
• Do not puncture, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
• If the device will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.

4.2 Cleaning

• Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the dongle.
• Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the device.

Common Issues and Solutions:

• No Network Signal:
  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active data plan.
  • Check the signal indicator LED. If no signal, move to an area with better network coverage.
  • Verify that your SIM card is compatible with 4G LTE networks.
• Slow Internet Speed:
  • Network speed depends on the strength of the 4G LTE signal at your location. If the network is not strong, the device may not provide good speed.
  • Reduce the number of connected devices to the hotspot.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions affecting the signal.
• Device Not Turning On:
  • Check if the battery is properly installed and charged.
  • Connect the dongle to a power source to see if it charges.
  • Press and hold the power button for a longer duration (5-10 seconds).
• Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi Hotspot:
  • Ensure the dongle's Wi-Fi indicator LED is active.
  • Verify that you are entering the correct SSID and Wi-Fi Key.
  • Restart both the dongle and your connecting device.
• Device Reset:
  • If the device is unresponsive, locate the reset pinhole (often near the SIM slot, as seen in Figure 4). Use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds to restore factory settings. Note that this will reset any custom Wi-Fi settings.
