1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the proper use, maintenance, and care of your Merax 3-Piece Hard Case Expandable Spinner Luggage Set. Please read these instructions carefully before using your luggage to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

The set includes three hard-case suitcases: 20-inch (carry-on), 24-inch (medium checked), and 28-inch (large checked). Note that the 20-inch carry-on luggage is not expandable and does not feature a side carry handle to comply with common airline size limits.

3. Setup

3.1 Setting the TSA Combination Lock

Your Merax luggage is equipped with a TSA-approved combination lock. The original number is 0-0-0. To set your own personal password, please follow these steps:

1. Put the dials at their original numbers (0-0-0).
2. Press down the reset button (A) with a tool until you hear a "click" sound.
3. Set your own password by turning the dials (B), for example, 8-8-8.
4. Push the button (C) towards the direction of the arrow. The reset button (A) will return to its original position when you hear a "click" sound.

You have now finished setting your own password. Please remember your password by heart. Repeat the above steps to reset the numbers if needed.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Using the Telescopic Handle

The aluminum telescopic handle can be adjusted to multiple heights for comfortable maneuvering. Press the button on the handle to extend or retract it. Ensure the handle is fully extended or retracted before moving the luggage to prevent damage.

4.2 Maneuvering with Spinner Wheels

Your Merax luggage features multi-directional 360-degree spinner wheels. These wheels allow for effortless gliding in any direction, reducing strain on your arm and shoulder. Push the luggage upright on all four wheels for smooth movement through airports and other surfaces.

4.3 Utilizing the Expansion Feature

The 24-inch and 28-inch suitcases include an expansion zipper. To expand the luggage, simply unzip the expansion zipper located along the perimeter of the suitcase. This will provide additional packing space when needed. To return to the original size, zip the expansion zipper back up.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Hard Case

To clean the exterior of your hard case luggage, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the ABS material and UV protective coating.

5.2 Wheel and Handle Care

Regularly check the spinner wheels for any debris or hair that might impede their movement. Clean them as needed. Ensure the telescopic handle extends and retracts smoothly. If it becomes stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the shafts.

5.3 Zipper Maintenance

Keep zippers clean and free of obstructions. If a zipper becomes stiff, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax to the teeth.

6. Troubleshooting

• Sticking Telescopic Handle: If the handle does not extend or retract smoothly, ensure no items are obstructing the mechanism inside the lining. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.
• Wheels Not Spinning Freely: Check for tangled hair, lint, or debris around the wheel axles. Clean them thoroughly.
• Zipper Malfunction: Ensure the zipper teeth are aligned. If they are misaligned or stuck, gently work the slider back and forth with a zipper lubricant. Avoid forcing the zipper.
