1. Product Overview

The Homedics Ultrasonic Humidifier provides a visible cool mist to add moisture to your environment. Designed for medium to large rooms up to 400 sq. ft., it features a top-fill tank, adjustable mist settings, aromatherapy capabilities, and an auto-off function for safety.

2. Setup Instructions

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the 'What’s in the Box' section are present.
2. Placement: Place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface. Avoid placing it directly on carpet or near heat sources.
3. Fill Water Tank: Remove the top cover. Fill the 0.97-gallon tank with clean, cool water up to the maximum fill line indicated inside the base. It is recommended to use distilled water to minimize mineral buildup.
4. Insert Demineralization Cartridge: If using the included demineralization cartridge, soak it in water for 10 minutes before placing it into the designated slot in the water tank. This helps reduce white dust from hard water.
5. Aromatherapy (Optional): If using essential oils, open the essential oil tray located at the bottom of the unit. Place one of the essential oil pads into the tray and add a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Close the tray. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.
6. Replace Cover: Securely place the top cover back onto the humidifier.
7. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

3. Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when on.
2. Adjust Mist Level: Use the adjustable dial or mist control button to select your desired mist output level (low, medium, high).
3. Night-Light: Press the night-light button to turn the soft glow night-light on or off.
4. Timer Function: If available, use the timer button to set the humidifier to operate for a specific duration (e.g., 2, 4, 8 hours) before automatically shutting off.
5. 360-Degree Mist Nozzle: Rotate the mist nozzle at the top of the unit to direct the mist in any desired direction.

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for optimal performance and longevity of your humidifier.

Cleaning the Water Tank:

• Empty the water tank daily and rinse thoroughly.
• For deeper cleaning, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Let it soak for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Demineralization Cartridge:

• The included demineralization cartridge helps reduce mineral buildup. Replace the cartridge approximately every 30-40 tank refills, or when you notice increased white dust.

Essential Oil Pads:

• Replace essential oil pads when the scent diminishes or when changing essential oil types.

• No Mist: Ensure the unit is plugged in, powered on, and the water tank is filled above the minimum level. Check if the mist output setting is too low.
• Unusual Odor: Empty and clean the water tank and base thoroughly. Use fresh, clean water.
• White Dust: This is common with hard water. Use the demineralization cartridge and consider using distilled water. Clean the unit regularly.
• Leaking: Ensure the top cover is securely placed and the unit is on a flat, stable surface. Check for any cracks or damage to the tank.
