1. Introduction

The Dreo DR-HSH003A Space Heater is designed to provide efficient and safe heating for indoor spaces. 2. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic precautions.

• Read all instructions before using this heater.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• Always unplug heater when not in use.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
• Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
• This heater includes an ALCI (Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter) plug. This device provides additional protection against the risk of electric shock.

5. Setup

1. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clearance from walls, furniture, and other objects.
2. Power Connection: Plug the ALCI safety plug directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
3. Initial Use: Upon first use, a slight odor may be present due to manufacturing residues. This is normal and will dissipate quickly.

6. Operating Instructions

Control Panel & Remote Control:

The heater can be operated using the touch controls on the top panel or the included remote control. The remote provides full access to all functions from up to 26 feet away.

Power On/Off:

• Press the Power button (⏻) on the control panel or remote to turn the heater on or off.

Modes:

The heater offers 5 modes: Fan Only, H1 (Low Heat), H2 (Medium Heat), H3 (High Heat), and ECO Mode.

• Press the Mode button (☰) to cycle through the available modes.
• Fan Only: Circulates air without heating.
• H1/H2/H3: Provides constant heat at different power levels (700W to 1500W).
• ECO Mode: Automatically adjusts heating power (900W to 1500W) to maintain a set temperature, optimizing energy consumption.

Temperature Setting:

• In heating modes (H1, H2, H3, ECO), use the Plus (+) and Minus (−) buttons to adjust the desired temperature between 41°F and 95°F.

Oscillation:

• Press the Oscillation button (⟳) to activate or deactivate the 70° oscillation feature, distributing heat more widely.

Timer:

• Press the Timer button (◷) to set an auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by 1 hour.

Quiet Operation:

The heater is designed with a patented airflow system to minimize noise, operating at just 37.5dB, making it suitable for bedrooms and quiet environments.

7. Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust from the air inlet and outlet grilles.
• Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.

Storage:

• Store the heater in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• It is recommended to store the heater in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

8. Troubleshooting

• Heater does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the ALCI plug has tripped (reset if necessary). Verify the power button is pressed.
• Heater stops working unexpectedly: The tip-over protection or overheat protection may have activated. Place the heater on a flat, stable surface and ensure no obstructions are blocking the air inlets/outlets. Allow it to cool down for 30 minutes before restarting.
• No heat, only fan: Check the selected mode. Ensure it is set to H1, H2, H3, or ECO mode, not just Fan Only.
• Error Code P4: This indicates the tip-over safety feature has been triggered. The heater will beep and display P4. Return the heater to an upright position, and it will resume normal operation after a short delay.
