Setup and Assembly
Your ACTBEST Core E-bike comes approximately 90% assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:
1. Front Fork and Handlebar Installation

2. Front Wheel Installation
Turn the bicycle upside down. Pick up the front wheel and remove the protective plate from the disc brake. Carefully place the front wheel onto the front fork, aligning the disc brake rotor with the caliper. Insert the quick release screw into the axle core and tighten it firmly. Rotate the front wheel to check for any abnormal noise or rubbing.
3. Fender and Headlight Attachment
Insert the front fender into the front fork and fix it tightly using the screws. Then, fix the headlight to the same screw hole on the front fork. Connect the wire of the headlight to the corresponding connector on the bike's main wiring harness.
4. Pedal Installation
Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal screws counter-clockwise, and the right pedal screws clockwise. Pay attention to the port of the pedal shaft and ensure they are securely tightened.
5. Seat Adjustment
Adjust the seat to your suitable height. The adjustable seat fits riders between 5'4" and 6'5". Tighten the quick-release lever on the seat post to secure the seat at the desired height.

Operating Instructions
Turning On/Off the Bike
To turn on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To turn it off, press and hold the same button.
Riding Modes
Your ACTBEST Core E-bike offers three riding modes:
- Manual Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle using pedal power only.
- Pedal-Assisted Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to select from 5 levels of pedal assist. Higher levels provide more motor assistance.
- Pure Electric Mode (Throttle): Use the thumb throttle on the right handlebar to engage the motor without pedaling. The speed will correspond to the selected pedal assist level.
Display Functions
The LCD display provides various metrics:
- Speed: Current riding speed.
- Battery Level: Indicated by a percentage, showing remaining battery charge.
- Assist Level: Current pedal assist level (0-5).
- Odometer/Trip: Toggle between total distance traveled (Odometer) and current trip distance (Trip).
- Time: Duration of your ride.
To cycle through display functions, briefly press the power button. To enter settings (e.g., change units from km/h to mph), hold the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously.
Walk Feature
The bike includes a walk feature for easy maneuvering when dismounted. Hold down the '-' button on the display, and the bike will slowly move forward at walking speed.
Battery and Charging
The 36V 13AH battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed. To remove the battery, use the provided key to unlock it from the frame. The charging port is located near the keyhole. A full charge typically takes 4-6 hours.
Always use the original charger provided with your bike. Do not use damaged chargers or attempt to charge the battery with unapproved devices.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your e-bike:
- Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Recommended pressure is usually indicated on the tire sidewall.
- Brakes: Periodically check brake pads for wear and ensure proper brake lever tension. Adjust as needed.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Fasteners: Regularly check and tighten all bolts and screws, especially on the handlebars, seat post, and wheels.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% and recharge every 2-3 months.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your bike, consider these common solutions:
- Bike Not Turning On: Check if the battery is properly seated and charged. Ensure the power button on the battery itself is pressed (if applicable) and then the display power button.
- Motor Not Assisting: Verify the pedal assist level on the display is not set to 0. Check if the battery has sufficient charge. Ensure brake levers are not partially engaged.
- Brakes Squealing/Rubbing: Inspect brake pads for wear. Adjust the brake caliper alignment if rubbing occurs.
- Reduced Range: This can be due to riding conditions (hills, headwind), rider weight, excessive throttle use, or low tire pressure. Ensure proper tire inflation and consider using higher pedal assist levels.
- Unusual Noises: Check for loose components, rubbing fenders, or issues with the chain or derailleur.
