Programming TV Control Keys
The "TV Control" section of the remote (TV Power, OK, Source, Vol-, Vol+) can be programmed to control your television. Follow these steps:
- Press and hold the TV button until the LED indicator on the remote turns solid. This indicates the RCU (Remote Control Unit) has entered Learning Mode.
- Press the key on the ALLIMITY remote that you wish to program (e.g., TV Power). The LED will begin blinking slowly. The key is now ready to accept programming.
- Aim your original TV remote control towards the front of the ALLIMITY RCU (distance less than 3cm). Press the corresponding button on your original TV remote (e.g., your TV's power button). If the key is programmed correctly, the LED on the ALLIMITY remote will flash 3 times.
- Repeat steps 2-3 for other TV Control keys you wish to program (OK, Source, Vol-, Vol+).
- To exit Learning Mode, press any other button on the ALLIMITY RCU (e.g., the STB button). The LED will turn off.
Once programmed, these keys will control your television directly.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes inconsistent or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries, as this can lead to leakage or malfunction.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
- Replace the batteries with new 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the TV Box's infrared receiver.
- Make sure you are within the effective range of the TV Box.
- TV Control keys not working after programming:
- Repeat the programming steps carefully, ensuring the LED flashes correctly at each stage.
- Ensure the original TV remote is aimed directly at the ALLIMITY remote during the learning process and is within 3cm.
- Verify that the original TV remote is functioning correctly.
- Some buttons not working:
- This may indicate low batteries. Replace them.
- Ensure the remote is clean and free from debris that might obstruct button presses.
