1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ATUMTEK Camera Remote Shutter. This wireless remote control is designed to enhance your photography and videography experience with compatible iPhone and Android smartphones. Featuring advanced Bluetooth 5.2 technology, it offers a stable connection and a remote range of up to 10 meters (33 feet), allowing you to capture photos and videos effortlessly.

3. Product Overview

The ATUMTEK Camera Remote Shutter is compact and portable, designed for ease of use and convenience. It features a single camera button for capturing photos and starting/stopping videos, along with a side-mounted ON/OFF switch.

4. Setup

4.1 Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure the remote shutter is charged or has a working battery.
Turn on the remote shutter using the ON/OFF switch located on the side. The indicator light will flash continuously, indicating it's in pairing mode.
On your smartphone, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
Locate and select "ATUMTEK" from the list of available devices.
Once connected, the indicator light on the remote will turn off.

4.2 Samsung Phone Specific Setup

For some Samsung phones, you may need to adjust camera settings to ensure the remote functions correctly for both photos and videos:

Open the Camera app.
Go to Camera settings.
Find and select Shooting methods.
Then find Press Volume buttons to.
Choose Take picture or record video.

When connecting to Bluetooth, if a pop-up appears asking to "Allow access to your contacts and call history", you can ignore this checkbox and directly select "PAIR". The photo-taking function will work normally.

5. Operating Instructions

Once paired, open your smartphone's camera application. The remote shutter acts as a trigger for your camera's main function.

To take a photo: Press the camera button once.
To start recording a video: Switch to video mode in your camera app, then press the camera button once.
To stop recording a video: Press the camera button once again.

6. Battery Information

The remote shutter is powered by a CR2032 button battery. This battery has a capacity of 210mAh and can support over 20,000 photos, ensuring long-lasting use.

8. Care and Maintenance

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Connection Issues

Remote not pairing: Ensure the remote is turned on and the indicator light is flashing. Check your phone's Bluetooth settings to ensure it's discoverable.
Remote disconnects frequently: Ensure the remote is within the 10-meter range of your phone. Check the battery level of the remote.

9.2 Functionality Issues

Remote not taking photos/videos: Verify that your phone's camera app is open and in the correct mode (photo/video). For Samsung phones, check the specific camera settings as outlined in Section 4.2.
Indicator light behavior:
- In standby state: The indicator light flashes.
- In connection state: The indicator light goes off.
- After 5 minutes of no pairing: The device will enter sleep mode, and the indicator light goes off.
- In low battery mode: The indicator light turns off, and the connection is lost.
