Operating Instructions
Fueling the Chainsaw
This chainsaw uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Mix 90# gasoline with 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 25:1 (Gasoline:Oil). Use the provided fuel tank/mixing bottle for accurate measurement. Always fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames or sparks.
Starting the Chainsaw
Follow these steps to start the chainsaw:
- Push the Brake: Engage the chain brake by pushing it forward. This is a critical safety step to prevent accidental chain movement during startup.
- Move On/Off Switch to ON: Locate the On/Off switch and move it to the "On" position.
- Pull Choke Knob Out: Pull the choke knob fully out to its designated position.
- Pull Start Handle: Pull the starter handle firmly and smoothly, up to a maximum of 6 times, until the engine briefly fires or attempts to start.
- Push Choke Knob Back: Once the engine has fired, push the choke knob back fully to its original position.
- Pull Starter Until Engine Starts: Pull the starter handle again until the engine fully starts and runs.
Once the engine is running, allow it to warm up for a few moments before disengaging the chain brake and beginning operation.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw. Perform these checks and tasks regularly.
- Chain Sharpening: Keep the saw chain sharp. A dull chain increases effort, reduces cutting efficiency, and can lead to kickback. Refer to the detailed manual for sharpening angles and techniques.
- Chain Tension: Check chain tension frequently, especially during initial use. Adjust as needed to ensure it is snug but moves freely.
- Guide Bar Maintenance: Clean the guide bar groove and oil holes regularly. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
- Air Filter Cleaning: Clean the air filter after every few hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance.
- Spark Plug Inspection: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace it if it is fouled or worn.
- Lubrication: Ensure the automatic oiler is functioning correctly and the chain oil tank is filled with appropriate chain lubricant.
- General Cleaning: Keep the chainsaw clean from sawdust, debris, and oil residue.
