Introduction
Thank you for choosing the InnovaGoods Portable Safe Box. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your new portable safe. Designed for securing valuables such as jewelry, bank cards, cash, documents, and passports, this safe features a durable iron construction, a customizable 3-digit combination lock, a padded interior, and an integrated steel security cable for added protection. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.
Safety Information
- Keep the safe out of reach of children.
- Do not store the combination inside the safe.
- Ensure the safe is closed and locked properly after each use.
- This safe is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.
- The security cable is designed as a deterrent; it does not guarantee absolute theft prevention.
Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the safe and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present: the portable safe, security cable, and optional mounting dowels and screws.
2. Setting the Combination
Your safe comes with a default combination, typically 0-0-0. To set your personal combination:
- Ensure the safe is open and the current combination is set to 0-0-0 (or the last known combination).
- Locate the reset button or lever inside the safe, usually near the combination dials.
- While the safe is open, use a pointed object (like a pen) to press and hold the reset button, or move the reset lever to the 'SET' position.
- With the button/lever held, set your desired 3-digit combination by rotating the dials. Choose a memorable but secure combination.
- Release the reset button or return the lever to its original position. Your new combination is now set.
- Test the new combination with the safe open before closing it.

3. Attaching the Security Cable
The included steel security cable allows you to anchor the safe to a fixed object, providing an additional layer of security.
- Locate the cable attachment point on the safe (usually a slot or loop).
- Thread the loop end of the steel cable through the attachment point on the safe.
- Pass the other end of the cable (with the larger loop) through the smaller loop you just threaded.
- Secure the larger loop around a sturdy, immovable object such as a desk leg, shelf, or bed frame. Ensure the object is robust enough to prevent easy removal.

4. Optional Wall Mounting
For permanent installation, the safe can be mounted to a wall using the provided dowels and screws. This option is suitable for home or office use where a fixed location is preferred.
- Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring it is a solid surface capable of supporting the safe's weight and resisting force.
- Mark the drilling points on the wall using the safe's pre-drilled holes as a template.
- Drill holes at the marked points. Insert the wall dowels into the drilled holes.
- Align the safe with the dowels and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure the screws are tightened firmly.
Operating Instructions
1. Opening the Safe
- Rotate the combination dials to your personal 3-digit code.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Interior: The polyurethane foam interior can be gently wiped if necessary. Ensure it is completely dry before closing the safe.
- Mechanism: The combination mechanism is designed for maintenance-free operation. Do not attempt to lubricate or disassemble it.
- Storage: When not in use, store the safe in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Safe Will Not Open
- Incorrect Combination: Ensure you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. Double-check each number.
- Dials Not Aligned: Make sure each dial is precisely aligned with the indicator mark.
- Knob/Button Issue: Ensure the knob is turned fully or the button is pressed completely after entering the combination.
- Forgotten Combination: If you have forgotten your combination, there is no master key or override. You may need to contact InnovaGoods customer support for assistance, though recovery of a forgotten combination for a mechanical lock is generally not possible without destructive methods.
