Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the diagnostic cable is securely connected to the vehicle's OBD-II port and the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position. Check the vehicle's battery voltage; low voltage can prevent the device from powering up.
- No Communication with Vehicle: Verify that the vehicle is OBD-II compliant (most vehicles from 1996 onwards in the US). Check the diagnostic cable for any damage. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. Try connecting to a different OBD-II compliant vehicle to rule out device issues.
- Software Update Failure: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection. Check available storage space on the device. Restart the device and attempt the update again. If issues persist, contact customer support.
- Inaccurate Readings/Codes: Ensure the device software is up-to-date. Verify the vehicle information (VIN, make, model, year) is correctly identified. Some complex issues may require professional-grade diagnostic tools or expert interpretation.
