5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your MP3 player. Connect the included USB-C cable to the player's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.
5.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually on the side) for a few seconds until the screen lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the 'Power Off' option appears, then select it.
5.3 Inserting a MicroSD Card (Optional)
If you wish to expand storage, insert a MicroSD (TF) card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated card slot on the side of the player. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
5.4 Transferring Music and Files
Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the USB-C cable. The player will appear as a removable disk. You can then drag and drop music files (MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, WAV, OGG, AAC) and other supported files into the player's internal storage or the MicroSD card folder.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Music Playback
- From the main menu, select 'Music'.
- Navigate through 'All Songs', 'Artists', 'Albums', 'Genres', 'Playlists', or 'Folders'.
- Use the navigation buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right) to select a song or folder, and the Play/Pause button to confirm.
- During playback:
- Press Play/Pause to pause or resume.
- Press Left/Right to skip to the previous/next track.
- Long press Left/Right to fast rewind/forward.
- Use the volume buttons (+/-) on the side to adjust volume.
- Repeat & Shuffle: Access playback options from the music interface to set repeat modes (e.g., Repeat All, Repeat One) or enable/disable shuffle.
- Variable Speed Playback: Adjust playback speed for audio content.
- Equalizer: Customize sound profiles (e.g., Rock, Pop, Jazz) or create a custom setting.
- Playlists: The device supports up to 3 playlists. You can create and manage them directly on the player.

6.2 Bluetooth Connectivity
The MECHEN MP3 player features Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless audio output.
- From the main menu, select 'Bluetooth'.
- Turn on Bluetooth. The player will scan for available devices.
- Select your Bluetooth headphones, earphones, or speaker from the list to pair.
- Once paired, audio will be routed wirelessly to your connected device.
- Important Note: This MP3 player is designed to connect to Bluetooth audio output devices only (headphones, speakers). It cannot connect to smartphones, computers, or car Bluetooth systems.

6.3 FM Radio
Enjoy your favorite radio stations on the go.
- From the main menu, select 'FM Radio'.
- A wired headset must be plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack to act as an antenna for the FM radio function.
- Use the auto-tune feature to scan and save available stations.
- Manually tune to specific frequencies using the navigation buttons.

6.4 Voice Recorder
- Select 'Recorder' from the main menu.
- Choose 'Start Voice Recording' to begin.
- Press the Play/Pause button to stop/save the recording.
- Recordings are saved in the 'Recordings' folder.
- The device also supports Line-in recording, allowing you to record audio from an external source connected via an audio cable (not included).
6.5 Pedometer
Track your steps and activity with the built-in pedometer.
- Select 'Pedometer' from the main menu.
- Start the pedometer function to begin tracking steps, distance, speed, duration, and calories burned.
- Ensure the player is securely clipped to your clothing for accurate tracking.

6.6 Other Functions (E-book, Picture, Alarm, Calendar)
- E-book: View text files (e.g., .TXT format).
- Picture: Browse image files.
- Alarm: Set alarms.
- Calendar: View the current date.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: Store the player in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Impacts: Protect the device from drops and impacts, which can damage internal components or the screen.
- Water Resistance: The device is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and try again. If unresponsive, try holding the power button for an extended period (10-15 seconds) for a hard reset.
- Cannot connect to Bluetooth device:
- Ensure your Bluetooth headphones/speaker are in pairing mode. Make sure the MP3 player's Bluetooth is enabled. Remember, the player cannot connect to phones or computers. Try restarting both devices.
- MicroSD card not recognized:
- Ensure the card is inserted correctly and fully. Try reinserting the card. Test with another compatible MicroSD card if possible. Ensure the card is formatted to a compatible file system (e.g., FAT32).
- No sound or low volume:
- Check the volume level on the player and your connected headphones/speaker. Ensure headphones are properly plugged in if using wired. If using Bluetooth, ensure it's connected. Note that the volume may reset to a low level after powering off/on.
- Songs skipping or cutting off:
- This could indicate corrupted files. Try re-transferring the affected songs. Ensure the device's firmware is up to date (check manufacturer's website for updates). If the issue persists across multiple files, consider backing up data and performing a factory reset (if available in settings).
- FM Radio not working:
- A wired headset must be plugged in to serve as an antenna for the FM radio function. Ensure the headset is fully inserted.
