Setup Guide

1. Wall-Mounted Installation (Fixed Use)

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable indoor location near a 240V CEE outlet, ensuring it is dry and protected from direct weather exposure.
  2. Mount Bracket: Use the provided screw set to securely attach the wall bracket to a sturdy wall surface. Ensure the bracket is level.
  3. Place Charger: Carefully slide the EV charger unit onto the mounted wall bracket until it clicks into place.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the CEE plug of the charger into a compatible 240V CEE outlet.

2. Portable Use

  1. Unpack: Remove the charger from its storage bag.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the CEE plug of the charger into a compatible 240V CEE outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and rated for 32A.
  3. Position Charger: Place the charger unit on a stable, dry surface, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Charging (Plug-and-Play)

  1. Connect to Vehicle: Insert the Type 2 connector into your electric vehicle's charging port.
  2. Start Charging: The charger will automatically detect the vehicle and begin charging. The intelligent LED screen will display charging status, amperage, and power.
  3. Stop Charging: Disconnect the Type 2 connector from your vehicle once charging is complete or as needed.

2. Using the Intelligent LED Touchscreen Display

  • Indicator Light: Provides visual feedback on the charger's status.
  • Current Adjustment (Button A - Short Press): Tap button A to cycle through available charging currents: 16A, 20A, 24A, 32A.
  • Charging Mode (Button A - Long Press): Press and hold button A to toggle between Plug-and-Play mode and APP Start mode.
  • Wi-Fi Reset: Simultaneously long press both buttons (A and Clock icon) to reset Wi-Fi settings.
  • Scheduled Charging (Clock Icon): Use the clock icon button to set delay times for scheduled charging, allowing you to charge during off-peak hours.

3. App Control and Smart Features

The Tera EV Charger can be controlled and monitored via a dedicated mobile application, offering advanced features for convenience and cost savings.

  • Download App: Scan the QR code provided in the manual or search for "Smart Life" (or "TUYA") in your mobile app store. Download Smart Life App
  • Pair Device: Follow the in-app instructions to connect your charger to the app via Wi-Fi.
  • Reserve Charging: Schedule charging times to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates.
  • Monitor Charging: View real-time charging status, current, voltage, and power consumption.
  • View Historical Records: Access past charging sessions and energy usage data.
  • Receive Notifications: Get alerts when charging is complete or if an error occurs.

Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Wipe the charger unit and cables with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect the charging cable and connectors for any signs of damage, fraying, or wear. Do not use if damaged.
  • Storage: When not in use, especially for portable applications, store the charger in its provided storage bag in a cool, dry place.
  • Environmental Protection: Although rated IP66, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions. Ensure the charging port on your vehicle is clean and dry before connecting.

Troubleshooting
