Setup

Initial Winding:

As an automatic mechanical watch, it requires initial winding if it has not been worn for an extended period. To wind the watch:

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal, pushed-in position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a power reserve to start the movement.

Once started, the watch will continue to wind itself through the natural motion of your wrist while worn.

Setting the Time:

  1. Pull the crown out to its outermost position.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired time is set.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into its normal position to engage the movement and start the watch.

Strap Adjustment:

The stainless steel band can be adjusted to fit your wrist size. A tool is typically provided to remove or add links. If you are unsure, it is recommended to have a professional jeweler adjust the band to prevent damage.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Movement:

Your OLEVS watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. This means it harnesses the kinetic energy from your daily wrist movements to wind the mainspring. When fully wound, the watch typically has a power reserve of approximately 36-40 hours. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding to restart.

Water Resistance (30M):

The watch is designed with 30-meter (3ATM) water resistance. This rating means it is suitable for:

  • Daily splashes
  • Hand washing
  • Light rain
  • Bathing in cold water

Important: Do not press any buttons or pull the crown while the watch is wet. Not suitable for diving, hot water baths, or saunas, as steam and temperature changes can compromise the seals.

Luminous Display:

The hands and hour markers of your watch are coated with a luminous material. After exposure to light, they will glow in the dark, providing clear readability at night or in dimly lit environments. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the exposure time and intensity of the light source.

Maintenance

Proper care will help maintain the appearance and function of your OLEVS watch.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to harsh chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, seals, or band.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, which can affect the movement and water resistance.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, airport security scanners), as magnetism can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch case to protect it from dust and scratches.
  • Service: Mechanical watches benefit from periodic servicing (every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure continued accuracy and performance.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Watch stops or runs intermittently.Insufficient power reserve (not enough wrist movement or manual winding).Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times. Wear the watch regularly for at least 8-10 hours a day.
Watch runs too fast or too slow.Exposure to strong magnetic fields; needs regulation.Keep the watch away from magnetic sources. If the issue persists, consult a professional watchmaker for demagnetization or regulation.
Moisture or condensation inside the crystal.Water resistance compromised; exposure to extreme humidity or temperature changes.Immediately take the watch to a professional watchmaker for inspection and repair to prevent further damage to the movement.
