Setup
1. Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Initial Calibration
Before first use or after moving the scale, it requires initial calibration for accurate readings:
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Press one foot firmly on the scale to activate it. Random numbers will appear on the screen.
- Remove your foot. The display will return to '0.0'. The scale is now calibrated and ready for use.
3. App Download and Bluetooth Connection
To access advanced features and body composition analysis, download the Hoffen Fitdays Bluetooth APP.
- Scan the QR code provided in the physical instruction manual or search for 'Fitdays' in the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
- Install the 'Fitdays' app on your smartphone.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open the Fitdays app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a user profile and pair your Hoffen HO-45 APP scale. The app will automatically connect to the scale when it is active and within range.

Operating Instructions
1. Basic Weighing
- Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface and has been calibrated (if recently moved).
- Step onto the scale barefoot and stand still.
- Your weight will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.

2. Using the Fitdays App for Body Composition Analysis
For comprehensive body data, ensure the scale is connected to the Fitdays app via Bluetooth.
- Open the Fitdays app on your smartphone.
- Step onto the scale barefoot. Ensure your feet are in contact with the four metal electrodes for accurate body composition measurements.
- The scale will display your weight, and the app will simultaneously receive and display 13 parameters including Body Weight, BMI, Body Fat Rate, Muscle Rate, Water, Bone Mass, BMR, Visceral Fat, Protein Rate, Body Age, Standard Weight, Body Fat, Weight Without Fat, Muscle Mass, and Protein Amount.
- The app will record and track your data over time, allowing you to monitor progress with smart charts.

3. Heart Rate Measurement
The HO-45 APP scale features a new heart rate function.
- When stepping on the scale barefoot, in addition to body composition, the scale will perform a 15-second real-time detection of your heart rate.
- Your heart rate (in BPM) will be displayed on the VA screen and recorded in the Fitdays app.

4. Understanding the Display
The scale features an easy-to-read colorful VA screen that displays full body data at a glance.
- Weight: Your current body weight in kilograms.
- Body Assessment: A visual representation of your body composition.
- Body Fat Rate & BMI: Displays your body fat percentage and Body Mass Index.
- Heart Rate: Your heart rate in beats per minute (BPM).
- Room Temperature: The scale also displays the atmospheric temperature in degrees Celsius.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
- Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
2. Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace all three AAA batteries with new ones. Refer to the 'Battery Installation' section for instructions.
3. Storage
Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
