Figure 2: Proper weighing technique for the Hoffen Digital Luggage Scale, illustrating the importance of a 90-degree angle for accuracy.
- Turn On: Press the power button (short press) to activate the scale. Wait for the display to show "0.00".
- Select Unit: If you need to change the weighing unit (e.g., from kg to lb), press and hold the power button until the unit changes. The scale supports kg, g, Oz, and lb.
- Attach Item: Securely attach the item to be weighed to the nylon strap and hook.
- Weighing: Lift the scale by its handle, ensuring the item hangs freely and stably. Hold the scale horizontally and keep it steady. For items between 0.1-15 kg, single-hand operation is sufficient. For heavier items (15-50 kg), use both hands for stability and accuracy, ensuring the scale is held at a 90-degree angle to the item.
- Read Measurement: The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen. The auto-lock feature will hold the stable weight reading.
- Turn Off: The scale features an auto-shutoff function to conserve battery power. Alternatively, you can short press the power button to turn it off manually.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
