4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Caynel 2-in-1 Portable Propane Heater and Stove:

1. Prepare the Base: Ensure the device is placed on a stable, level surface.
2. Connect Propane Cylinder: Screw the 1 lb propane cylinder (or compatible fuel canister with EN417 standard hose, sold separately) securely into the designated port on the device. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
3. Check for Leaks: Apply a soapy water solution to the connection points. If bubbles appear, tighten the connection. If bubbles persist, do not use the device and contact customer support.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Lighting the Device

1. Slowly turn the gas control knob counter-clockwise to the 'MAX' position to allow gas flow.
2. Use a long-stem lighter or match to ignite the burner. Position the flame near the burner mesh.
3. Once ignited, the burner will glow red.

5.2. Adjusting Heat Output

Rotate the gas control knob to adjust the heat output. Turn clockwise for lower heat ('MIN') and counter-clockwise for higher heat ('MAX').

5.3. Switching Between Heater and Stove Modes

The device features an adjustable damper to switch between heating and cooking modes:

• Heating Mode: Close the damper to direct heat outwards for radiant heating.
• Cooking Mode: Open the damper to allow flames to reach the top surface for cooking.

5.4. Turning Off the Device

Turn the gas control knob clockwise to the 'OFF' position until the flame extinguishes completely. Allow the device to cool down before disconnecting the propane cylinder or moving it.

• Cleaning: Ensure the device is cool before cleaning. Wipe exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Disconnect the propane cylinder before storage.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect the gas connections and hoses for any signs of wear, damage, or leaks. Replace damaged parts immediately.

• Device not lighting:
  • Ensure propane cylinder is connected correctly and has fuel.
  • Check if the gas control knob is turned to an 'ON' position.
  • Verify the igniter is sparking (if applicable) or use a long-stem lighter.
• Low flame/heat output:
  • Check propane cylinder for low fuel.
  • Ensure gas control knob is set to a higher position.
  • Inspect burner for obstructions.
• Gas leak smell:
  • Immediately turn off the device and propane supply.
  • Move to a well-ventilated area.
  • Perform a soapy water leak test on all connections. Do not use if leak persists.
