1. Product Overview

The Herilary 10-inch Portable Car Audio System is an innovative device designed to enhance your in-car experience. It integrates seamlessly with your smartphone via wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing access to navigation, music, calls, and voice assistants directly on its large display. This system also features a built-in dash camera for recording your drives and offers multiple audio output options for versatile sound integration with your vehicle's existing audio system.

3. Setup and Installation

The Herilary Portable Car Audio System is designed for easy, non-invasive installation, requiring no complex wiring or professional assistance. It can be mounted on your dashboard or windshield.

3.1 Mounting the Unit

Attach the adjustable stand to the main unit. Choose a suitable location on your dashboard or windshield that does not obstruct your view or interfere with driving. Secure the stand using its suction cup or adhesive base.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided 5V/3A Cigarette Lighter to Type-C cable to the unit's Type-C port and plug the other end into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The unit will power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Connection

This unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

1. On your smartphone, turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
2. On the unit, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select the device named "T86-******" (the last digits will vary).
3. Confirm the pairing request on both your phone and the unit.
4. Once paired, select "Use CarPlay" or "Use Android Auto" on the unit.
5. Wait a moment for the CarPlay or Android Auto interface to appear on the unit's screen.

4.2 Audio Output Options

The unit offers four ways to output audio to your car's sound system:

• Internal Speaker: Audio plays directly from the unit's built-in speaker.
• Bluetooth: Connect your smartphone to your car's original Bluetooth system. Audio from the unit will then play through your car's speakers.
• FM Transmission: Set an FM frequency on the unit and tune your car's radio to the same frequency. Audio will be transmitted wirelessly to your car's speakers.
• AUX Output: Use the included 3.5mm audio cable to connect the unit's AUX output to your car's AUX input. Audio will play through your car's speakers.

4.3 Mirroring Function (AirPlay & Android Cast)

The unit supports Apple AirPlay and Android Cast functions, allowing you to mirror your smartphone's screen onto the larger display. This enables you to enjoy videos and other content from your phone directly on the unit.

Note: Some streaming services like Amazon Prime Video or U-NEXT may prevent mirroring due to copyright protection. If your smartphone screen turns black during mirroring, the mirroring function may stop. Please reconnect in such cases.

4.4 Dash Cam Function

The unit features a built-in 1080P wide-angle camera (F2.0 aperture, 145-degree wide-angle lens) for recording your drives. It supports loop recording, parking monitoring, and can display a split-screen preview. A rear camera and step-down cable are required and sold separately for full functionality.

• Loop Recording: Records video in segments (e.g., 1/3/5 minutes). When the storage card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest files.
• Parking Monitoring: (Requires separate step-down cable) Records events when the vehicle is parked.
• Lock Function: During recording, you can manually lock important video files to prevent them from being overwritten, useful for preserving accident footage.

6. Troubleshooting

Q: The product does not operate normally, or stops operating after a period of time after delivery.

A:

1. Please confirm that your vehicle is a 12-24V wide-range vehicle.
2. Please connect to your car using the included cigarette lighter to Type-C cable.

Q: Cannot connect to wireless CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.

A:

1. CarPlay iPhone compatibility: Wireless CarPlay (Wi-Fi connection) supports iPhone 5 and later models running iOS 9.0 or higher.
2. Android Auto compatibility: Wired Android Auto is compatible with smartphones running Android 8.0 or higher. Wireless Android Auto is compatible with smartphones running Android 11.0 or higher. (Note: If wireless Android Auto cannot connect, please try wired Android Auto first.)

Q: Does mirroring support video viewing from apps like YouTube?

A: Apps like YouTube are supported, but popular services like Amazon Prime Video/U-NEXT may not play due to restrictions from the Amazon Prime Video side. Also, if your smartphone screen turns black during video mirroring, the mirroring function will stop. Please reconnect in this case.

Q: When connected via CarPlay/Android Auto, the unit repeatedly restarts, making it unusable.

A:

1. First, confirm that there is no problem with the product itself. If everything is normal, reset the car's system to factory settings and try connecting again.
2. Some car models may experience product restarts due to insufficient power from the car's USB port. In this case, please use the included cigarette lighter to Type-C cable to connect to your car.
